I've just called my insurers and managed to get them down from £770 to £500.

My original insurers wouldn't budge on the price that's why I used GoCompare. The weird thing was though that my original insurers price on GoCompare was £85 LESS than they wanted to charge me for exactly the same policy.

To me this proves that insurers will pull out all the stops to catch new customers but rely on existing customers apathy to keep ongoing prices high. Well **** 'em I say.

My qoute went up £120 this year from my current insurer... Sainsburys can shave £100 off that, with free breakdown cover so bye bye AXA...
