any reason as to why we haven't got MDV back from loan? I find it puzzling with our current striking plight.

Not sure, Alex.

And I agree, it is curious as to why IH hasn't called him back. Maybe he thinks that he'll get more support off the BM's if he uses kids like Chambers and Sappleton, rather than the devil-incarnate that is MdV...

By the looks of your vcash total that didn't happen. :icon_wink
Best player in the side during the match though eh?

By miles.

Maybe if one other outfield player had bothered to put in an effort Corty would have netted?

It just emphasised that there is a difference in class between Cort and the rest of the squad. He may have arrived low on fitness and recent match experience but anyone with eyes could have seen that he has a touch and awareness that outstrips anyone else on the park - but as always, the vast majority of City fans just want to see someone running around madly like a puppy with a stick.

Then they all shout "Huuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeee".

People are stupid.

We need to create chances. We could have Thierry Henri upfront at the moment and he'd be hard pressed to score for us, IMO. :icon_bigg

Thierry Henri? Pah!

He's only netted five goals this season which only makes him one goal better* than 'Norbo! :icon_wink

*DJ's poached goal should be attributed to Kisnorbo

I agree, it was a poach. :045:

I dont boo our players, but I understand why some fans boo the players, It is simply that we all go to football matches to be entertained. (Do you hear Mr Holloway, ENTERTAINED)

But. What i can not get my head around and will never understand, Is why players think they can pocket a good wage and do nothing for it. Who the effing hell do they think they are, We, the fans pay that wage, and we do because we want to see good football, we dont want to watch a lazy git wander around a pitch for 90 minutes, we want football, some skills, some passion, a battle, and some times, we actually want to win. but most of all WE WANT ENTERTAINING.

If a player does not like the idea, they can fcuk off, and go and earn a crap wage like the rest of us, and if anyone thinks that getting behind Cort will improve his game they are wrong. The only thing that will do is encourage him to be a crap lazy git. (God I hope he reads this)

He is a lazy git because he does not give a toss about city or us fans. His attitude (which stinks) reflects that. he is so far up his own arse that, I bet he believes he actually played well and tried hard. Claping and cheering him for being that crap and he will crawl further up his own arse and play all the worse.

It time the clubs fined bad players, especially lazy ones, like cort, he needs a dose of reality and should be brought down to earth, so he understands what a lucky position he is in and if he dont respond to that then get rid of the lazy big headed git.

I dont boo our players,

It amazes me how many people on here say that they do not boo our players. (Not a dig at you step!)

With everyone denying it where does the noise come from? Is it played through the speakers like the cheers at Old Trafford? Or are TBers all loyal supporters and it's only the 'internet deprived' that actually boo?

A quick glance at "the other forum" will reveal the L1 boo posse, proudly explaining their reasons, which can be summed up as being:
  • He's crap
  • He's overpaid
  • He showed no effort
  • He get's paid too much
  • His salary is very big
  • He's been injured
  • The vastness of his pay packet is a problem

And do they know how much he is paid?

Could an element of his pay be based on actual appearances given his injury track record (don't know the answers, just wondering)

I propose that we should hire someone to help Carl Cort relax before the game so that he can focus on scoring goals instead of worrying about copping abuse from the crowd. So, are there any applicants out there for the role of Cort Jester?

I am beginning to wonder whether the real and only reason for Ian Holloway coming to City was for him to have a bigger stage to be heard.

The reason why I say this is because none of our previous Managers had written a book or had a newspaper column. To do this you must believe you have something to say.

I want to be positive and enthusiastic but all I feel is that I am going through a 1980's time warp. :icon_sad: :056:

Reading his book and watching the DVD of Coach Carter which so influenced Olly I felt he had something to say.
I am all in favour of Leicester managers writing books. I would like to know which parts of Clough Martin O'Neill copied and which he rejected and why. I would like to read an honest analysis by Peter Taylor of why a man of such football intelligence has not been able to become a good manager. Above all I would like to read a frank account of Martin Allen's time at Leicester and what we have not been told. A good chance of MON writing a biography but little chanced of taylor or Allen.
