How have i only made one point? my first point was in relation to your suggestion that i acknowledged there would be problems-i was pointing out that there wouldn't be any problems, so how could i be acknowledging them?

I did respond to your question about the multiple pcs, because if your using seven digital downloads and they cant be used on multiple pcs then thats not itunes problem is it? plus you can plug an ipod into any pc and use it as long as you have itunes and have it on manual setting

You misunderstood my question and I misunderstood your response.

What if you need to connect your iPod to a PC that you don't have admin rights to and so can't install any extra, unnecessary software?

How does the iPod compare to every other MP3 player on the market in that circumstance?

TBH, it more the phone I was thinking of getting as I believe it's the same as the touch, but with a phone, but I've just found out they also have you by the bollox there as well!!!!

It might well be, but I wasn't being argumentative about iPods from Melton's or my point of view, I wouldn't have one if they were giving them away.

It's more of a general point about how restrictive and unnecessarily obstructive they are for what is, effectively, just a portable hard drive with media player firmware.

had a go on my mate's ipod touch last night

it's very very swish and feels great

the batteries must drain quickly though....
