I dont know why, but i absolutely hate paul dickov, i hope he never gets a game at man city and rots just like he did at blackburn. i cant explain this so dont ask, but i just hate the guy.

any further feelings?

I'm with you. Runs around like a blue arsed fly, achieves fukk all and spends half the game mouthing off at the referee.

Never liked him when he was here, even more so after the "I owe this club after sticking by me" debarcle

Interesting to how the Man City fans welcome him, when he scored against them at CoMS, he ran around like he had won the World Cup. Being fair to him being Scottish and all, its the nearest the bloke will get to winning the World Cup.

He will struggle next season and I think so will Man City.

A lot of Man City fans are not happy about him going back, but then again a lot of them hate Thatcher... no accounting for taste!......id have Thatcher back without question..... they can have Danny boy back.

He is just a dirty little git who cannot keep his pork sword to himself. The Spanish should have kept him locked up..... two faced little tosser

Seems to be the typical modern day footballer - just in it for the dosh - doesn't give a fkuc about the fans and just signs a short contract and walks out at the end of it

Personally think people are being a bit harsh on the lad - when we first signed him I thought 'what a waste of time' but he was a decent player, worked 100% for the team and was good for us.

Yes, we paid him a good wage, but we didn't pay a big fee for him, and I think he deserves to be recognised as one of our better players over the last few years - whether he cared or not is maybe subject to question, but he put in 100% effort, and that can't be said for everyone (no names, no packdrill, no GW)

Good luck to the guy IMHO: footballers are horredously overpaid, but at least Dickov tries to earn earn his money

Well said. :038: However I will never forgive him for "staying with us".

and people that argue are ones who probably shouted "dion, dion, dion" until very recently. oh dear. i dont like him because he went to blackbum and for me that is a step down and a money based decision for any player

Spot on - any player who gives absolutely everything for us when they play is fine by me, and any player who scores a lot of goals and is one of the main reasons behind a promotion campaign is even better. It would have been nice if he'd stayed with us, but for a player of 30+, the money and allure of the Premiership is at least partially understandably preferable.

I found it quite amusing when we played Blackburn in the cup a couple of years ago and a lot of the leiceseter fans got annoyed with him and turned against him for being a little shit - that's exactly what he does and that's why he was liked so much when he was here. The same went for Savage - it annoys me that people give him a crap reception just cos he's been a tosser when he's played against us - that's what he does, that's why he's effective and that's why he was part of the best Leicester City team for 30+ years. I won't forget what Savage / Dickov did for us.

Still don't forgive him for the numerous times he said "I'm saying" and then left. I'm bitter.

What I find annoying from many players is their cyncial short-term memory. When Dickov joined us from Man City I seem to recall him saying how he badly needed to move clubs because he was not getting a chance at MC and things had gone worng there for him. And when he started a few games for us and scored a goal or 2, how wonderful it was that he was playing again and being valued.

Now it seems, judging from his statements, that he really did not want to leave MC in the 1st place.

Inconsistent litle twerp.

to be far to him and to play devils advocate a little, he is now at a different satge in his career now to when he left mc in the first place to join us. He wasnt playing at all for them and felt he needed first team football, which is something we offered. He did well for us and scored a few. With lcfc, a bigger club will always come in to poach our best performing players as we are and nearly always have been a selling club.

This happened when Blackburn came in for PD. Okay so now a few years have passed and it hasnt really worked as well as PD would have hoped at Blackburn, mainly due to the signing of Bellamy. He obviously just wants to play as much football as possible at this satge of his career and he feels he will play more at MC than he will at Balckburn. This is a move to end his career with IMHO.

In summary I think he is just at a differnet stage of his career now. If you look back at the comments of any players throughout their careers Im sure they have all said at some point when joining a club they are happy about the move and would never want to move anywhere else. This is all press stuff. However he is still an arrogant twat.

I must admit I loved the man.

Hate him now, but he doesn't bother me because in Hume and Fryatt we have far better players. Hume is probably the most like him in terms of work rate, but in Hume's favour he is younger, quicker, and I think personally has more potential to develop.

You can keep yer paul dickhead!

Dickov is a cnut.

We gave him a chance, he then he fcuked us off when we needed him. He gave the impression that he loved the fans and the club but fcuked off at the first sniff of dollar 4 months after helping to make a mockery of our football club.

Last season (I mean our first season after relegation) would have been very different with Dickov in instead of Connolly.

I've got nothing against him at all. He did a VERY good job for us, and like every other professional footballer, he moved on for the benefit of his career. Nothing to get bitter or twisted about IMO, it's just the way it is and, to a certain degree, how it's always been. People will say "ah, but what about Muzzy and Walshie" but if they'd have had the chance, they'd have done the exact same thing. Of course, they'd have also said the same things before leaving (what if the deal doesn't go through? Can't say you're looking forward to fooking off, can you?) and a lot of City fans would then hate them for leaving. C'est la vie, get over it.

If we had him now, he'd be one of, if not the only GENUINE Premier class player in our squad (one or two of the current crop may make it in time, but they ain't there yet). I'd take him back in a heartbeat.

People like Muzzy and even this year Joey pissed off to other clubs, but the difference between them and Dickov is that they did it the right way!

They were open, said they were considering their future, said they needed to make a decision for themselves and their families and moved on. THere was no Bulls*it about this being 'the club they wanted to end their career at', or repeated assurances they were staying before they decided at the last minute to fook off. That is what narks me about old dickhead. He bullshitted us all, and owed us big for the crap he draged the clubs name through.

Paul Dickov was a good player while he was here. He gave 110% every match. He did better than expected & scored enough goals to do well for us. Yes he did say he was going to stay here and still left, but he was still a great player for us. Stop having a go at him. He was a good player.

i to liked dickov wen he played for us, he dug into players. but i hated when he scored that penalty and skid across the turf infront of our fans in the blackburn match the stupid d*ck face
