Talented teenage defender Jack Hobbs has become Leicester City's sixth signing of the summer.
The 19-year-old, who can also operate in midfield, has joined on a season-long loan deal from Premier League giants Liverpool.
He joins fellow new boys Michael Morrison, Lloyd Dyer, Nicky Adams, Aleksandar Tunchev and Kerrea Gilbert at the Walkers Stadium and is delighted to be here.
He said: "I am really pleased to have signed and can't wait to get started.
"Liverpool have some world-class centre-backs so I spoke to the boss and he said I was free to go out on loan and gain some experience.
"Leicester showed their interest and I had no hesitation in coming here.
"This is a massive club with a good manager and top class Premier League facilities.
"I now want to start playing and get to know the lads. I can assure everyone that I will be giving 100 per cent.
"I want to help this club get back to the Championship at the first time of asking," he added.
Hobbs joined the Reds from Lincoln City in August 2005 on his 17th birthday.
The youngster had played just three minutes of professional football for the Imps before Rafa Benitez swooped.
Hobbs was made captain of the Reserves during his first season on Merseyside and was also a key part of the FA Youth Cup winning side of 2006.
On Saturday, April 28, 2007 he was named amongst the substitutes for the first time in Liverpool's Premier League encounter against Portsmouth at Fratton Park, but did not make it onto the field of play.
The tall defender went on to represent England Under-19s at the end of the 2006/07 campaign before making his senior debut as a last minute substitute during a 4-2 Carling Cup win at Reading on September 25, 2007.
Hobbs later made his full debut against Cardiff City in the Carling Cup and turned in an impressive performance.
His first appearance in the Premier League came when he replaced Jamie Carragher after 51 minutes in the 4-0 victory against Bolton on December 2.
A week later he started a league match for the first time, away at Reading.
On January 24 this year, Hobbs joined Scunthorpe United for the remainder of the season and scored his only goal for them against eventual runners-up Stoke City.
In total, the defender made nine appearances for the Iron before returning to Liverpool.
Hobbs will wear the number 25 shirt.
