Technically, it means they are guilty beyond all reasonable doubt. I'm sure there are hundreds of people who have been falsely imprisoned who haven't actually committed any crimes.

True - it doesn't mean they definitely did it, it merely means that the evidence shown in court points strongly towards their guilt. But the point was a not guilty verdict doesn't mean the same certainty of innocence. Indeed, there can be strongly compelling evidence against a defendant but a not guilty verdict can still be arrived at, for a variety of reasons.

But in MJ's case, his accusor merely accepted a very large amount of money.
