Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan has vowed to reinvest the funds generated from the sale of James McArthur to Leicester City.

The Scotland international is heading out of the DW Stadium after a fee was agreed with Leicester at the third time of asking.

It is reported that Foxes boss Nigel Pearson is prepared to pay around £7million for the midfielder, with a deal set to be completed ahead of the weekend.
Not having a go at you w88dy, but isn't this what was reported yesterday?

Don't think so Cate as it says third time of asking regarding the bid.

Kind of Cate, it said a bid had been accepted but this was only the 2nd bid ! Then the Merc reported our second bid was rejected so now a 3rd bid has gone in.

Looks like we don't want him AND EC. I would take him in addition as he can play right back. Suppose it depends what his personal demands are. gonna be a long campaign and would be good to play a v high temp pressing game and be able to bring on a strong replacement defensive midfielder after 65 mins. (Irrespective of injuries).

Transfer news coming up at 10pm......
