Wasn't it the NOTW who were laughed at when they first suggested MM was keen on taking us over? :102: :icon_wink

Seems a very odd choice. Yeah he probably gets on well with Jamie, but other than what reason would he have for making him manager?

It could work, it could fail miserably, it's a big gamble. But what I fear most is the amount of JR puns we'd get on here...

According to the NOTW MM wants to install Jamie Redknapp as Manager after his takeover.....

Your comments please:

no no no no no no. have u heard the comments he makes as a pundit? Id rather have Peter Taylor back, seriously.

mm will decide what players come and go at city.

i personally dont think managers make that much difference these days, there's to many other people involved for them to be that influential.
most managers iv'e seen on tv or up close all seem to say the same thing," keep it tight, get stuck in,keep your shape etc etc, not rocket science really.

so as long as we dont get some total a** hole if they do decide to drop rk i'm not that bothered.jamie r is a well spoken well known individual so he would be no problem for me to except.

lets face it things arent working out the way things are,yes we have some good youngsters, but the so called older members aren't good enough.

look at stoke, a few decent loanees and they start winning.we need to use mm's money sensiblly and quickly.

While I understand people's cynicism at NOTW reporting, at times they are also absolutely spot on.... Remember that.

Do you know, I am absolutely dumbfounded at this suggestion and really have no idea about it. Why would he want to do it for one? Why? He has a cushy life and surely would be mad to walk in to this job. Perhaps with Kevin Bond at his side ala Pompey?

Strange, but I'm not as disgusted at the idea as perhaps I should be. I'm not so sure this wouldn't be good.....Then again, it could be an absolute nightmare. No middle ground with this football club, that's for sure.

How about a more experienced man alongside Redknapp?!?

I was thinking about some pros to this, it would attract players.

But he rejected the Bournemouth job which was on a plate for him...So I doubt if there was an offer, he'd do this. Imagine Louise Redknapp at the Walkers.

I'd guess he's a Londoner and he has that z-list wife and all that. I don't think a move up north would suit him.

He was playing for Liverpool when Louise was her most succesful, Not very I know.

I am sure that wouldn't be a problem.

I am just thinking that they would love a move to picturesque Leicester when none of their family lives.

I am saying all this but its probably bollox. Could always get him as a coach specialising in midfielders.

they live in sand banks in poole, i go there every year. im sure they wouldnt mind a move to one of the mansions out in charnwood, newtown linford area

Nothing against JR, but surely given that we will have some transfer funds we need a manager with a bit of experience rather than someone who is untried at this level:102: . We don't want to go down the Peter Taylor route ever again
