Well I'm afraid this is exactly the standard of player we will be trying to sign. At the end of the day, we are in a relegation scrap in the second division - no one of any real quality would want to come here regardless of how much money we try and throw at them.

Why are all of our supporters fickle and unrealistic?

Im affraid anyone who thinks Mattock is good enough at this level needs their head examining.

The lad should be nowhere near the first team. Playing amongst this shit will ruin him as a player and certainly will not aid his development.

One for the future sure, but any team with an inch of awareness will be targeting the lad all season.

The left back situation is a priority and has been for a few years, hence why we got Clarke in to start with.

Agreed. I've never rated Mattock or Sheehan.

He is good solid left back(we have needed one for years), it is common knowledge that IH was upset that he lost his best 2 players at Plymouth ( i assume Capaldi and Buzyacki)

I've calmed down now.

I couldn't give a toss who Leicester sign anymore. I've seen so much false hope from our 'star' signings and so little improvement from our 'ones for the future' that I think it's not the managers or the players.

We've had plenty of managers (one of them doing pretty well at Bolton) that have all left us near the relegation zone and shown little improvement. We've had plenty of players come and go without much effect on our performances.

I think there is an atmosphere or culture of failure within Leicester City Football Club and to some extent this is perpetuated by the supporters. I think Holloway and Megson alluded to it and both realise that it is/was going to require a big clear out to get rid of the bad apples and turn that culture into a positive and winning mentality.

I think IH will know if Capaldi can do a job and if he is a leader with a positive mental attitude or a fop that's going to turn up and join in with the self pity and blame that has enveloped our club and supporters.

If he's wrong, we burn him.

I think he would be a good signing, Sheehan's set pieces are great but he isn't the best defender, I don't think he is good enough for us to get out of the league and IMO Mattock is no way near ready for regular first team football.

Don't see what can be wrong with signing an international left back, I agree it wouldn't be a big signing but I would not be disappointed to see him here.
