Milan was quoted in The Sun today (so make what you like) as saying that if we do not get promoted then we would basically be ****ed due to the overheads. didn't give a time span but if he doesn't get it right soon then it could actually be bye bye LCFC! :(

They would never have allowed the take over if that was the case. The overheads are probably very high because we have a shed load of poo players. I highly doubt that we are in shit street.

You mean 'they' would never have allowed the take over had 'they' known that Meeeeeelan was going to go and try an solve the UK's unemployment problem by making every unemployed person in the UK an employee of LCFC is one way or another.

Could you please explain to me how 'they' could foresee this mad man damaging the reputation of itself to that some what lower than the expectations that Jade Goody has for her(it)self? :102:

What the hell are you trying to say in your second paragraph:icon_lol:

There would most likely be certain provisions within the contract to protect the club. I haven't seen the agreement but I gather that you can...at the end of the day this is just the sun taking a comment out of proportion. That we have high overheads is most likely correct. We have a squad that is too big.

Milan gave his word. If he fails and sells up fair enough. If he fails and we fold I kill him.

Simple really

I don't know who you mean by 'they' but I think it'd be shortsighted to say we couldn't find ourselves plummeted into a bucket of shit financially even with our Saviour at the helm.

Phew!!! That's okay then.

Unfortunately, it really is.

I will post the quote tomorrow when I get back from work, the paper is on my desk.

Anyways, more important things, God is on Dave now! :038:

I could understand the animosity to Joe Royle if this was the Real Madrid fans forum..... but its not. FFS guys, we are entering our 5th season in the bottom half of the old Div 2, the last thing we need is a callow, gelled hair, "up and coming star" to take us in to tailspin while he learns how managment is much harder in the Championship with a club that has big expectations. When you have had the management chaos we've had over the past 6 months, we can't afford another gamble or we'll end up with the Trees.

We absolutely have to have an experienced head who has managed big clubs, who can guide our young team and who won't flap and panic. JR would be a great get for us. He's always had tons of aggression and passion, both as a player and manager so to say he's past it is nonsense.

I hope we can persuade him to join.

Good post Sheen Fox

I feel it in my bones.
Joe Royle was my boyhood hero.
His past experience would bring much needed attacking and exciting soccer back to Leicester.
Man i hope this signing goes through.
MM, this is the man, get him in at all costs.

I can see what has happened here.

MM is desperately trying to play to the fans. He's been reading TB and he's listened to what the fans want.

And the fans want Joey....

Good to know that Joe still has his family around him.

Yes - Joe was a very decent centre forward for Everton - but sadly time goes by and catches up with us all. I know he wouldn't be expected to run around a lot as manager but in my view to appoint him would be a backward step.

On the other stuff and Silver Fox's comments - I somehow feel a bit uncomfortable about the situation. Leaving aside the rights and wrongs, I just wonder how sustainable we really are if promotion isn't achieved within a couple of seasons. We do seem to have a very big playing staff given the poorish level of the club....and its already been shown that moving players and costs on doesn't seem that simple.

Family no.
I agree my opinion might be biased seeing that he was a boyhood hero.
Please explain to me why you think he would be a backward step.
All the reports i have read on his managerial experience are relatively positive.

Joe is pushing 60 and has been out of the game now for some time. His managerial record was ok and mixed.

I just doubt whether he has the energy and would have the momentum at this stage to turn Leicester round.

Is that a 'no chance' could he turn us around BH?

I reckon the Taggart/Burrows partnership did themselves a lot of favours last night....Do you?

No chance that we will employ him.

Yes, Tags has certainly given MM more food for thought. All things considered, I was very proud of the lot of them (players, coaching staff, fans etc) last night - can't remember the last time I felt like that even though ultimately, it ended in defeat.

Totally agree....

Radio 5 quoting MM has interviewed Paul Jewell. Do you know if there is any truth in this at all? I would have thought the interview unneccesary!
