Joe is pushing 60 and has been out of the game now for some time. His managerial record was ok and mixed.

I just doubt whether he has the energy and would have the momentum at this stage to turn Leicester round.

I do not see why you are tied up on this age thing, he is 58.
Redknapp is 60, Ferguson 66,Wenger 58 and so on.

Age has no bearing on experience.

Maybe it was his choice to get out of the game for a break, i do not know?
According to reports MM is trying to persuade him to come back into the game.
I think MM will tell if he has the desire to try again in his interview.
