He has achieved stability and steady growth at every club he has been given a chance at.

He got Plymouth in to a play off position this year with less than half the resources available here. How? with stability and steady work

He has been given one hell of a mess to sort out this season. If it wasn't for previous mismanagements he would have had an extra £3M to spend on transfers in the window.

He's had 18 games, DF, and we are now three points from the bottom of the table

Managers are judged on what they can do with the players in front of them - and he has also had the luxury of bringing in seven players of his own choice

But hey, let's keep burying our heads in the sand and maybe it will all go away

A. But at what cost. QPR were relegated with him in charge, got promoted again, had one good season and then slipped into midtable mediocrety. Plymouth, basically the same, just slightly higher up the table. So we have a good midtable CCC manager.

A. No he didn't, they were 7th when he left them.

A. But that mess has now been sorted, what would he have done with the extra money ? He was offered money to buy Fulop but refused because of the asking price. He still has money to spend, but only if the price is right. Ok, I can accept that to a certain extent, but if the club is to progress maybe that extra cost would have been worth it

I was puzzled by the texts calling for Ollie's head on Radio Leicester last night..

Surely it's clear that the reason we are down in the table is because we have changed our managers around non-stop this season.

We're a team going through a metamorphosis, anyone (including Milan) who thought it would take a summer is evidently mistaken, but I finally believe we have found the right man for the job. It'll now take a whole season with one manager to conjure the consistency needed to become a promotion seeking side.

Coleman, who was sacked by Fulham?? Is that 'cutting it' in the Premiership??

I think Coleman was cutting it, keeping Fulham in the premiership with pitifull resources. I assume that the Fayed has also now realised that he has dropped a huge clanger.

But why the hell would he want to come to this circus when he can spend a few relaxing months on his compo and look for something a bit more promising?

The fact is, as some of us said when Ollie was appointed, that's the besy we are likely to get.

IMO this group of players have the quality to easily survive, if they are managed and motivated correctly.

MM has to step back and decide wether IH has these capabilities, if he thinks he has stick with him, if he doesn't admit he made a mistake and get rid.

From the interview with MM on SSN this morning, I would guess that Holloway will stay, he was playing our position down.

At the time of IH's appointment I agree the pool of managers to choose from was poor. The current pool however is IMO far better, if of course we could attract them.

Therein lies the problem

Although I suspect Dowie and Davies might still fancy it

Maybe we'll find out in a few weeks time....

I really hope that IH has the capabilities to keep us in this division, as I do believe that we need a period of stability.

Honestly, the pool of managers was poor? Unless I'm wrong it included Tigana, one of Europe´s most successful manager, Joe Royle and Peter Reid who´ve both won multiple promotions from this league (and never been relegated from it, unlike Holloway), Grayson who´s turned a nothing Blackpool side into one capable of doing the double over us... Then there's Dowie, who's also won promotion from this league and Sounness (ditto). Holloway was the only manager on our list to tick two boxes - one, been relegated from this league and two, never been promoted from it.
Holloway was clearly a silly choice at the time, still is now and he could be the firstmanager in our history to take us into third tier football. The real Blue Mongies here are the ones who slated Kelly, slated Megson and made excuses for Mandaric sacking Allen who, you don´t need reminding, led us to a 4-1 win over Watford. As for Holloway, will it make any difference whether we sack him or not? If you're losing every game against the whole range of opposition then what can you lose? He's brought in an entirely new strike force and spent a few bob in the process and we still can't score. He´s brought in wingers and midfielders and full backs, he has the responsibility for this team.

I am very concerned about Ian Holloway's performance he seems to be having the same run as Craig L 'freefall' but with much better players.
I have changed my view from a week ago because we are running out of games to avoid the drop and there are no signs of winning the next one at the moment. :tumbleweed:

If we go down there will be a bright side to all of this

A lot less Mong's at away games?

Days Out at Brighton, Cheltenham, Carlisle? (In fact from that side of it I wouldn't be that disappointed, what a wanker I am)

no a season ticket at the Olympico.....:038::038::038:

I agree with most of that but the fact is this is his team now, playing the way he wants.I'm prepared to give him time but even you must admit so far his team haven't been an improvement results wise on what went before. The time for him to moan about what he inherited is drawing to close. He is now to be judged on his team here and so far its not been good
