I think this is a tad unfair. he doesnt come across as a prick but a smashing lad. all the rest is spot on though.
I think anybody that is blackmailing his employer or customers to letting him keep his job by "being a nice guy" is a prick.

I think anybody that is unwilling or unable to do anything to help my club when it's their responsibility to do so is a prick.

I think anybody that gets paid to do a job as a result of my money and continually lets me down week after week after week with the same old mistakes is a prick.

Exactly, because he's had f8ck all to spend. You pay peanuts and get monkeys!

Look I am not saying Kelly is some kind of footballing genius, my point is that the level of vitriol pointed towards Kelly I think is unreasonable. He clearly isn't a great manager but we'll probably end up somewhere around mid-table which given the financial climate he was operating in doesn't make him a terrible one either.

There will always be different levels of players available for a given amount, even free. Kelly seems to have picked the lower level players.

It says alot that none of his signings bar GM are still here.

The point Melts, myself and others have made is that irrespective of the skill level, (= cost/value), these players arrived with, over the last year Kelly has demonstrated no managerial skills in improving them, organising them tactically or motivating them. For a generally young squad who are supposed to be 'hungry' to learn and improve, they seem to have found few 'crumbs' at Kelly's managerial/coaching table.

I think you are making a reasonable point.

It's not fair to demonise Kelly - but unfortunately in football the fans get frustratated when they have made up their minds that someone is not good enough.

Kelly is a dead man walking now - and for his sake as well as ours he needs to be put out of his and our misery.

Spot on Redditch.

He isn't good enough! The fans aren't being fickle or unfair, he has done a bad job.

Totally agree RF

He isn't good enough! The fans aren't being fickle or unfair, he has done a bad job.

If we want to be real:

- he isn't good enough

- he was not equipped to do the job but was appointed as the easy way out

- fans are often both fickle and unfair - it's goes with the trade of being a manager. I can recall when Jimmy Bloomfield was hounded out of Filbert Street because fans didn't think playing attractive football and being in the top half of the top division was good enough....so I absolutely know Leicester fans can be as unfair and fickle as anyone else.

Kellys trouble has always been to use round pegs in round holes........ to see where you're going wrong and deal with it, not his fault really...... some have got it and some have'nt.

I have a fear that the next manager might be foreign..... with little experience of lower league football, and it's such a bloody difficult league to get out of, especially now the
relegatees have enormous sums of money to play with.

Would maybe agree with your first sentence if it had " in his first full season of management to take a distinctly average squad and get it to finish above mid-table with no cash" on the end of it.

For me Kelly hasn't done enough to earn the right to play with Mandaric's cash next season but what he has done is got us out of potential relegation last year and have us finish the lower side of mid table in his first full season. So what should LCFC do now? Give him the boot or keep him on to learn from the new guy and maybe a few years down the line he'd be more ready to take the step up.

I think expectations for this team have been unrealisitic and Kelly's achievements, or lack of, should be judged against the background of his previous experience and the circumstances he has had to try and do his job in.

What the feck has that got to do with anything ??

He's judged solely on where he has taken this club - and it might just be to Division One if something amazing doesn't happen very soon

The vote of confidence is in - and about time too

Start packing you useless feckwit

Mandaric urges fans to support City and Kelly"We all have to get behind Rob and behind the players," said Mandaric.
"We need to give him full support. That's what I am doing, giving him full support and working together to win some points quickly."
The City owner's call followed speculation in a national newspaper that former England manager Glenn Hoddle and Bryan Robson could be being lined up in the summer.
But Mandaric said: "We are concentrating on getting the points and winning the games to stay up. Let's get behind Rob and the team."

in other words, your time is up Kelly! Boat number 7 come in! LOL

wish me luck as you wave me goodbye!
we'll meet again, don't know where, dont know when!

hes deffo gone. but please not ****ing robson. i find it quite annoying that manadaric has told the fans to get behind the team. weve been averaging 22000+ all fecking season and been given nothing in return.

he should release a comment telling the players to pull their fecking socks up for the fans.

Err, absolutely feckin' everything. In my job I get appraised agianst my skill set, experience and the quality of the team under me. Better things are expected of people higher up the ladder than me but if am outperformed by a much less experienced colleague who had a weaker team I would be doing badly. You don't boo a youth team player if he doesn't score on his first appearance but if Drogba tunred up and couldn't score all season then he would deserve some stick.

If you think we are going to Div 1 put some cash on it. We must be at least 50 - 1. That would require Burnley AND QPR AND Hull AND Barnsely AND Southend all to get at least 5 more points than us from their remaining fixtures. Oh and we have a game in hand on three of those clubs. We ain't going down, if we did that would be amazing.

Wonder how long it will be before the Next Manager is slated.I'm not a Kelly fan, never have been from day one,but it does seem some want us to become a Premier League side within 18 months. Its going to take a long time

The big problem is that on occasion they have looked alot better than "distinctly average", but Kelly can't drag this out of them every week. Then again if he'd had all this money he's apparantly needed then he could have bribed them to play better no doubt

Yes, I'm sure there are one or two supporters that wish for us to be a premier league side in 18 months. Bizarre really
