Come In Kelvin!
Manager Ian Holloway has this evening bolstered his squad for the Championship run-in with the signing of pacy winger Kelvin Etuhu on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old Nigerian is ineligible for tonight's home clash with Preston North End but will be available for Saturday's game against high-flying Bristol City at the Walkers Stadium.

Holloway said: "We are absolutely delighted to have Kelvin on board. He will add an extra dimension to the squad that we haven't already got.

"He's got absolute pace and he loves to run at people and take them on. We have got a lot of players who are sharp on the ball and can pass it but we haven't got anyone who is as direct as Kelvin.

"He's still a young lad and I am sure he will be able to help us as much as we can help him along in his career."
Etuhu has come through the ranks at the Citizens and made his debut for the first-team on September 25 last year in the Carling Cup victory over Norwich.

A second-half substitute, the teenager set up the winning goal for Georgios Samaras.
In December, Etuhu, younger brother of Dickson Etuhu who plays for Sunderland, made his first Barclays Premier League appearance for City, when he came off the bench in the 1-1 draw at Wigan.

Then a week later, he bettered that with a first full start at Tottenham.
But his crowning glory came on December 15 when he netted his first senior goal for the club in injury time against Bolton Wanderers to seal a 4-2 victory.

In total the attacking midfielder has made eight appearances for Sven-Goran Eriksson's team so far this term.
Etuhu also enjoyed a brief loan spell at League Two outfit Rochdale last season, making four appearances and scoring two goals.

Etuhu, together with Kasper Schmeichel, have just returned from Thailand where they accompanied Manchester City owner and former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.

The duo conducted some coaching clinics with Thai children.
The player has been handed the number 36 shirt.
ENDS
The player will be available for interview at the club's Thursday press briefing.

Does this mean we've ****ed Bori and Zolt off? Quality signing tho, didnt see that coming

No! I very much doubt it anyway. It's been said SO many times that Holloway wanted to bring in more wingers in January anyway, and the 2 Hungarians were supposed to be back up.

To be honest, and I don't know why, but I expected something more exciting. I don't know anything about Etuhu, but hopefully he'll be a good signing.

More to the point though.... he's just come back from Thailand, where he went with Thaksin!
They were clearly over there chatting to our prospective Thai buyers/saviours ;)

know bugger all about him. will be nice to have some pace in the side for once. wonder if there is an option for this to become permenant? - only if he is good that is!

Good signing IMO, was saying to people at work we should get him in on loan!! I'm sure he has scored a couple for Man City this season too.

Right sided winger BTW. Should get Daniel Sturridge in while we're at it!!

There you go, the people who were moaning that Ollie has not tried to sign any Premiership youngsters, there's one for you.

Top quality one at that, an exciting player for once.

Can we have a Vbookie on how many games untill we ruin his game and passion for football?

Youv'e obviously seen him play then - I appreciate that you wouldn't lavish that sort of praise on someone youv'e never seen play or worse never even heard of.
