Had to attend a 'roadshow' for work at the KPS today and the buffet lunch was served in Fusions restaurant.

Cold plates, cold chicken wings. No knives or forks - even though they served olives, sundries tomatoes and warmish potato wedges.
Before the start of the day they served bacon butties - however the 'butty' part was actually a muffin which had not even warmed, let alone toasted.

I think I will continue to eat in the Counting House on match days

Nice meal this evening at The Cock Inn in Peatling Magna. Only space for about 30 covers but great service and very good food. Will definitely go back.

I've eaten in there before a match this season and the " eat as much as you like hot buffet" consisted of hot dogs, chicken wraps and cheesy potato wedges, with a chocolate muffin. For a package that cost £125 with a ticket I was less than impressed, even if there was a free bar (I think) before the game.

Maiyango

First time we've been and we will go back. Cheaper than i thought it was going to be, generous portions and tasted nice.

My wife's thai spiced soup was bland though. Had a decent bottle of Pinot Noir as well.

8.5/10

How much if you don't mind my asking? I've always wanted to try it but been put off by the cost

I went to The Livng Room in Nottingham on Friday night. I thought the current Mrs NF deserved a treat. I went a few weeks back with my boss and was impressed. My only complaint was despite ordering a good 10 minutes before the table next to us, they had everything first.

We had 3 courses each and a bottle of wine. Worked out around £40 each.

Give it a try if you find yourself in Nottingham. (They're a small chain so are dotted around too)
