I must admit, I am scratching me head at the decision to place Hughes in midfield. I understand Johnson is old and needed a rest but why not Tiatto? Or maybe try something slightly different in terms of formation.

I thought Hughes was one of our better players today, apart from his shooting, which he deserves shooting for. I think he had four attempts and all were woeful.

Maybury was one of their best players, he certainly passed it to Leeds players more than he did to our players.

There was no decent service from the wings.
I thought it was funny people getting excited about Newton before the match, as though he was the answer to all our problems. I don't think he even got a cross in until about an hour had gone. Certainly not the Premiership quality people were expecting.

The linesman in the second half pissed me off more than any of our players though. He gave offside three times when it clearly wasn't. I usually defend the officials but that idiot really was useless. Once when Hammond would have gone clear and he was definitely onside, and twice when we broke clear on the left, with Hughes then Porter, he gave offside when someone in the middle was in an offside position but the player the ball went to was nowhere near offside.

The ref's watch wasn't working. There was a stoppage of about 5 minutes in the first half when Leeds had a player stretchered off - but he only played three minutes stoppage time. In the second hal the board went up for 4 minutes, then during stoppage time there was a long stoppage when the ref dealt with a handbags incident in the Leeds penalty area, and he still blew before four minutes had been played. And he didn't seem to add anything on for all the Leeds timewasting.

I dont understand the bashing of Hughes, there were far worse players out there today, especially Jarrett.

I thought Jarret was one of the better players of the poor bunch. but what do I know?

a point against a team scrapping for their survival?

The moment when Hume knelt on the floor and hammered his fists in frustration after he'd won the ball and kicked to someone (can't remember who) who totally missed it, summed up the whole match for me.

that was complete and utter shite, every member of that so called team wants taking outside and shooting, the misery was compounded by the bloke who decided to try and play free jazz on the big bass drum

they were both equally cack, Hughes just edged it with his display of 'shooting'

these two really are no better/worse than Junior Lewis

i have just walked in the door after watching us unable to compete against a side who are bottom of the league. no fight no balls no idea. hughes was absolutely shite. why rk plays him in front of cadman and yeates causes me problems.
nils-shite not fit
maybury-lightweight couldnt pass a ball to save a life
rest of the team bar hume frightened to get stuck in.
my friends i rest my case, we are barely an average championship side, dont kid your selves. im pissed off.

I'm quite happy we didn't get beat tonight. After the results of both clubs on Saturday i could see them winning and pulling us back into the dogfight
. I dont care what RK says about having plenty to play for, imo most of our team are already on their summer holidays. I also think that a number of them know that they are not going to be good enough for the MM revolution, and therefore can't be arsed which is reflecting in passionless and lacklustre perfomances. I expect half this side to be gone by August.

i agree with some comments. hughes gets in the right positions but couldnt shoot himself, nevermind at goal.

porter and hume were by far our best players

Perhaps he wanted to put us out of our misery. :102:

I was saying something similar before the game. I would say "great minds", but mine isn't.

First half was complete rubbish. Second half we were slightly better, but after the performance against Palace you would have thought there would/should have been some sort of reaction.

Worst player for me was Horsfield. Was he carrying a knock or something. He did absolutely nothing all game.

Newton did ok when on the ball but didn't receive it enough in wide positions to cause any real problems.

Must do better City!!!!

Complete and utter dogshit from start to finish

Just about had it with this clown of a manager and his team of incompetent wankers

Hard to pick out out individuals, but Maybury was truly woeful - how he keeps getting a game is utterly beyond me

Horsfield looked fecked, Nisse looked like he was on drugs, and Hughes' first half performance defies any form of words I can think of. Even McAuley struggled.

Newton had a couple of good touches, and Elvis (yes Elvis) nearly changed the game for us with his excellent movement and pace

But in truth they were shit, and we were just as bad. A neutral observer would have had difficulty identifying who was the side at the bottom of the league

Milan, please get this useless feckwit pretence of a manager away from our club as soon as you possibly can. Quite frankly I don't care who you bring in his place, it's almost becoming irrelevant

Meanwhile, Dowie keeps Coventry going with another win. Is that three wins and a draw since he took over there?

Beating Southampton and Wolves along the way

Remember how piss poor they looked against us ?

Well, look at them now - with that 'failure' of a manager that some suggested would be no better than good old Rob Kelly, and probably a lot worse

Then look at how piss poor we are

For all RK apologists, it shows the difference a Manager can make. ;)
