I don't know. I really don't. Were the Saints fans right after all & Puel is just a negative boring ****? I was in the camp that thought it was to do with the players he had to call on down there but we've got some dynamic attacking players here & he seems to want to not play to their strengths. Maybe a Summer transfer window will tell us what we're actually getting. But do we really want to know?

It seems as if he took a look at us in his first couple of games & thought "Mon Dieu! Attacking play & scoring goals. I must put a stop to that immediately!" I hope I'm wrong.

Either way the last 2 games we've been ****ing lucky to pick up a point at home to one team that are bang average & another who are complete doghit. Should have been 6 & we should be sitting pretty. If Chelsea shit all over us in the Cup as now seems likely then I just want this complete ****ing waste of a season to be over.

Mostly I want to be wrong about Puel because sitting through another "who's next?" shitfest is the last thing we need. We haven't got one single thing right as a club since the miracle. Maybe we are just small-time by nature.

Not feeling very positive.
But boy was it worth it.

With all due respect, that's just bollocks. Bournemouth may well have been crap but they played like they wanted it. They defended like their lives depended on it. We pumped everything we had at them, because we'd run out of any other ideas, and they got bodies in the way. Time and again. I wish we could defend with that degree of passion. We just give the damned ball away, gift the opposition a goal and then stand around like we've been wronged. It happened against Stoke and we've done the same again today. I'm fekkin' livid.
Just because they defended well doesn't mean we deserved nothing. The fact that we were still attacking them on 94 minutes and had been doing so in wave upon wave for 15 minutes previous to that suggests that, in the end, we deserved a point even if we were absolute shit for the most part.

I think we deserved a point but I still think we were poor.

We played like we wanted it. We were clueless, but the effort was there.
They gave the ball away more than we did.
We deserved a draw.

I think it needs 'after about 60 minutes at 0-1' inserted after 'we played like we wanted it'. The urgency and desire came too late again. At 0-0, it was sloppy, pedestrian and utterly negative.

For all those slaying Silva he has not played then we expect miracles from him. Puel needs to be more attacking Vardy is isolated and we are too defensive at home as soon as he brought diabete on we were totally different he was energetic fearless and had real pace.

We have totally ****ed up our season in the last 4 games total shitfest

Bollocks we deserved a draw. We got one but no way was it deserved. We decided to scrap the game plan and hoof it into the box in hope. Bournemouth were solid, bodies on the line. In my book, they deserved to hang on for the win for that alone. I would not have begrudged them that in the slightest.

I spent the afternoon making an igloo. Sounds like the right choice. Feel sorry for anyone watching us at the minute.

Bournemouth used every opportunity to waste time, taking as long as possible for set pieces, kicking the ball away, not retreating 10 yards etc. For that I'm glad they conceded in stoppage time.

But boy was it worth it.
Of course. & always will be. But I wanted us to use it as a platform to kick on to being a European qualifying, trophy challenging team on a regular basis. That way it'd be much harder for the status quo to rewrite history & underplay our achievement as they've already started to do.

Absolutely nobody, anywhere, ever, flukes a 38 game 9 month league title. It's impossible. But in 20 years or so that's how they'll be writing 2015/16. I guarantee it. We don't need to be helping them.

I half expect football books & websites in a few years to be printed with a red line through us on the list of PL champions with a notation next to it saying "Doesn't count"

The fact that you write about them 'hanging on' suggests in itself that we deserved a point. If they were having to 'hang on', we must've been trying and trying hard to get a goal, which of course we were from about 60 minutes right up to the 95th minute when we got what we deserved and so did they.

Some opinions from a Bournemouth forum:

"Gutted. We didn’t really deserve anything from that game but I thought it was going to be payback for the DC injustice. Thought our passing and decision making was poor, especially in and around their box but some admirable last ditch defending. A good job they were so weak really."

"Probably a fair result although gutting to concede so late"

"We play best on the attack so I was hoping Defoe could have come on instead of playing defensively and struggling to hold on. It just invited Leicester to attack at will:("

"We were better first half, they were better second half. Gutting but a fair result really"

Well I clicked down my stream at about 94.30 because I didn't want to hear the boos. Never making that mistake again.

I very nearly did the same! I'm so pleased I didn't. And even more pleased Mahrez decided to have a go himself. It was an absolute corker of a 'get of jail' goal.

Yes but reminded me of Boro at home last season. Something, then and now, is structurally wrong

Jeff, you can post all the opinions you like. I ain't changing mine! Not like stats you know, you can't prove me wrong!

I will acknowledge that I am fuming with that performance, if it was a one off I might be a little more c'est la vie about it, but we're making a habit of it. We try and play to some form of plan, mess it up for whatever reason and resort to desperation. A goal keeper's blunder saved us last week, a Mahrez gem this. We're in a bad way at the moment and look bereft of ideas. I'm just not feeling inclined to credit us with anything at the moment.
