Oh, to dissect that one. I don't get to too many games at the moment, as it's not always easy to get tickets. I also think if you can't get a season ticket, it becomes very very expensive indeed.

Lineup - looked interesting. Unlike the lad sat near me, I don't rate Amartey as the worst player ever to wear a city shirt, and liked the attacking intent signalled by playing him instead of Simpson - (although injured?)

First half - absolute shite. 'Possession football' only counts as a positive thing if you're not just playing triangles with your 'keeper.
When Amartey went off - Bournemouth were all over us. Whatever we tried to do defensively failed woefully. Their penalty felt like it had been coming. Clearly wasn't on the spot and every fan could see it a mile off. Ref didn't do anything though - so it must not be a violation of the rules ..?
Albrighton had a shocker first half.

Second half - only at about 65 minutes did we wake up.
Albrighton had a shocker second half.

All in all not a lot of quality on the pitch. And I do believe these players can do it, they all have a good amount of footballing ability attributed to them, and many have shown us before.
Are Puel's tactics stifling the team? This is the first match where I have not considered him to be taking us forward to a level that we start to question him. Managers always get a little invincible time in my book where criticism should be limited. He's passed that now.

December and January we were lethal. Apparently we've now forgotten how to do that.

The rest of this season is going to pass us by folks. We'll be knocked out of the cup by Chelsea in a boring shitfest much like that one, and then we'll finish 10th, and wonder what the hell happened.

That free kids ck has been practised on the training pitch because if you look closely opt player (can’t see who) moves to create a gap exactly where the ball goes.

I still think we are better defensively with dragovic rather than Morgan, we are in a rut at the min if we do not beat WBA then some serious questios need to be asked !!

I didn't see any of the game other than the massive pair of tits and Mahrez's free kick further up this thread. I will give my summary anyway as I'm fairly certain it will be accurate.

Played the pissing about with the ball game with no urgency or movement for 60 minutes. N'Diddly the only central midfielder permitted to run. Desperation sets in around 65m and we start trying to score?

I took my Kindle to the match today. Never done that before but I thought I might want to entertain myself. I didn't read it only because my hands were too cold.

Fecking shite game again. Puel began with a peculiar 4-1-4-1 formation (Man City is wasn't) and I spent the first 20 mins mystified by it. How can we be so defensively minded at home to Bournemouth I thought again and again . . .

When Amartey goes off, he changes to a 3-5-1-1 formation. This was closer to something interesting but his instructions to his players were completely absent. At one point Maguire had his arms out shouting at his manager for some idea of who was supposed to be where. In particular, Albrighton and Silva were both hung out to dry by their manager.

Yes, several players were poor today but none get any blame from me. They were given no chance by their manager so made it up as they went along themselves. It was bizarre. Those players have no respect for their manager.

I just hope it's a little warmer next time so I can occupy myself whilst the inane drivel goes on.

West Brom are absolutely awful at the moment.
They've not won for aaaages.

WE are Leicester. It feels like - although not sure if the stats back it up - that we are always the form breakers.

West Brom win nailed on. I'm going to have a tenner on it.

What an absolute steaming pile of turd

Five across the middle, playing deep, against Bournemouth at home. This is what we have become

A winger playng at full back, a full back playing as a winger, James running through treacle, Albrighton couldn't cross his legs, Morgan has gone, and Vardy might as well be sitting in the stands.

Thank God for Mahrez. No wonder he cannot wait to get the hell out of the place

It's complete feckin' rubbish, and we all know it

As much as I agree about Puel's tactical ineptitudes, absolving Silva and Albrighton of all blame for their inability to get the basics right is nonsensical. If they couldn't get into the game because they were in some way played out of position (which Silva wasn't) then that's one thing the manager has to accept responsibility for. Being unable to beat the first man when crossing a ball time and time and time again, failing to make a 3 yard pass or having no idea how to control a football are faults that Albrighton and Silva are responsible for.

Oh God, Silva

I forgot to mention Silva

Absolute filth from the start until he was thankfully hooked. Garbage

Well what an utter shitfest that was. Can't imagine how many people missed the goal but they were leaving in droves around the 95th minute!

I didn’t think Silva was that bad. No more than a 6/10 but then none of them were. He made a terrible pass at the start but then kept the ball well enough afterwards. And his passes were mostly forwards too. Probably why he was taken off.

With our stellar player , Mahrez, off in the summer, there is a huge gap to fill let alone move us forward. I would have thought today that the owners will be nearer letting Puel go. I find it hard to believe that anyone really believes that Puel is the right manager to get us going again. He's pretty much avoided relegation but his approach is negative and boring and worst of all ineffective - Southampton read him right. Of course, its difficult to find a top quality manager.......Pearson may be as good as anyone available to us.

We all know that Albrighton is capable of being an excellent crosser of the ball and an excellent team player. He isn't playing well at the moment and is often being moved around the pitch into different positions. I get the impression that his confidence isn't good right now and he's probably not being well managed off the pitch as well as on it. Neither the bench nor his team mates offered him any encouragement or support when he made an error today.

Silva is a technically gifted midfielder. At the start of the game, we was a little rusty but had a clear role and made some postive touches and generally looked good. Then his manager changed the formation and gave him no clue what he was supposed to do when the Bournemouth full backs exposed gaps in our team. He has a brain though so he took it upon himself to trot round the pitch trying to get involved and largely being poor at it because is was completely disjointed from his team mates. His manager then replaces him early again no doubt doing wonders for his confidence and integration. Remember we fecked this guys career up for months and he came in not having kicked a ball in anger in eight months. We then chop and change him in and out and generally give him no chance.

I'll go out on a limb here but I thought Morgan, Maguire and particularly Fuchs weren't that bad.

I missed the goal so thanks to those that posted it on here. I was half way down Raw Dykes road at the time.

I'm leaving earlier and earlier these days.

Albrighton is not a full back I have some sympathy for him, Silva has been warming the bench it will take him a few games to get going
