I'm curious, however, as to how you'd like me to humble myself. Are we talking King Henry being flogged at Canterbury or simply an admission that I'm a hopeless 32 stone village idiot like the others? Neither is likely to happen, as unreasonable as that may seem.

The attention you talk about is neither here nor there. No-one is impressed by what I'm saying and, to be honest, I'd be ashamed if they were. However YOUR eagerness to lavish attention upon me speaks volumes. This all stemmed from someone taking umbridge at me saying that 'I couldn't accept any positives' from the Coventry game, which is clearly tantamount to an egocentric proclamation of genius for some of you. The only reason I still post on here is that so many on here are, on the one hand, aggressive towards those terrible outsiders (remember the 'you wouldn't walk into a bar spouting your mouth off' post) but on the other incapable of taking a little banter in return.

As it happens, it STILL wasn't a great performance on Saturday, there AREN'T many positives to take from it and Ricardo was still to blame for the goal. If you disagree with that then you're still wrong, regardless of how offended you might have been by me voicing my opinion in the first person.

If, at some point, any of you wish to engage in intelligent discussion about these matters rather than being drawn into verbal fisticuffs - which I'll win, by the way, regardless of whether you holler loud enough to rouse the other swamp animals - then I'm all ears.

Well, Syd, I'd say there were somempositives to come out of the game. As has become a regular theme at the walkers, our build-up play in the first half was very good but our finishing and final ball let us down. Getting qn early goal seems key for our boys to settle. Cov scored against the run of play and 'knocked us for six'. The 10 minute spell after the goal was probably the only period in which cov were really involved in the game as an attacking force.

I'd say the goal that they scored was down to poor defending, not goalkeeping.

I can only think that the conditions of the loan deals for the four borrowed defenders stipulate regular first team appearances. The merry-go-round today ended up with Sol proving that just like Hobbsy, he doesn't do left sided centre half.

Sven specifically dealt with the question of loan players in his Q&A. There is nothing in the loan contracts about them having to play. However, Chelsea loanees have a system whereby the more they play the less the loan fee is. Sven then said that this did not influence his selection.
