His kicking yesterday bordered on the highly dangerous. He put full backs under pressure numerous times.

There's not a lot of difference between the pair, the keeper who the back four are more confidence with we should stick with.

It tells you something if - and I suspect it's true from defenders responses - that the back four don't feel as confident in Ricardo as Weale , given that a lot of us half expect Weale whose distribution is fair at best to make at least one bad mistake every few games.

Unfortunately, we don't have a really sound keeper, but Ricardo looks like an accident that's going to occur on a fairly regular basis.

Sven is a good manager but I don't buy in to the view that therefore his every decision is bound to be right. For instance, Ricardo apart, I sense that some of his selections are driven to an extent by the need to keep loanees happy and more particularly the clubs that have loaned them and have an expectation that they will be given regular starting places.

It's obvious that Ricardo is was well down the pecking order with regards to who we wanted, which is why he's only here on a short term measure, but Weale is very average and error prone too, which is why I can't understand the singing for him. I'm pretty sure we'll be after a permanent keeper in the summer anyway.

Fair enough and I agree mostly.

The big issue though is that had you been at the Walkers yesterday I very much doubt that you would have been one of those booing Ricardo as his name was announced and calling for Weale mid-match.

Unlike those morons who actually did that :icon_roll

I think I made that clear in the first paragraph of the post from which you quoted me. This is not the first time though that our knuckle-draggers have disparaged a player in this way. Everybody remembers the treatment meted out to Robbie Neilson and to Ryan McGivern; a few of us remember the way sections of the crowd reacted to players like Alan Woollett and Paul Matthews.

There have been scores of such scapegoats in the intervening years; and if anything, the situation is getting worse. A lot of our fans know little about what support really means.

Very odd highlights - shows all of Cov's chances in the first half and then far too long on Cranie's two yellow cards. Still can't believe how unlucky Bamba was

Still wondering how Gunnarson didn't get sent off. He chopped Wellens in half with no punishment other than a free kick. Four fouls id deem bookable, he got just a yellow card.

Why don't we play a 3-5-2 formation. Both full backs are good going forward and are able to go past players and supply crosses . We lack a genuine winger with real pace, so we find it difficult to get behind teams.

Bamba, Bruma and Mee at the back.
van Aanholt, King, Wellens, Abe and Naughton in midfield
Vassell and Yacubu up front

.

Wellens face and body language when Ricardo hoofed it up the field implied he wasn't a happy bunny.

For some reason I am thinking of Ricardo watching Escape to Victory...surely he's better than Stallone though :icon_lol:

No it wasn't but the inbreads were singing "She said yes Marlon" which IMO is totally out of order.

I agree. If I was the parent of a young Coventry supporter I would feel most uncomfortable with their decision to sign Marlon King. No doubt there are Coventry youngsters wearing Marlon King shirts.

5 points dropped in last 2 games.
Time to sack Sven??? :071:

Can someone do a spreasheet of where we'll finish if we maintain the form of the last two games? I need to know whether to blame Ricardo for everything in the world going wrong or not.

Could you please stop encouraging Joe_ and his spreadsheets :018:

Wasn't from his own supporters though was it.

Oh they adore him.

And singing about the lass being a slag(which she might well be, doesn't mean she asked to be assaulted)

Or indeed any female Covscum fans. Thankfully I'm not one, but if I was sat amongst that lot*shudders* whilst they were singing that bollocks
I do actually think I would've shouted at a few of them what ****ing twats they were being.

Apart from the last five minutes because you are one of those 'early leavers' aren't you.

:icon_wink

NO. I dont even stand up when we score just in case I block the view for the person behind.

also, when leaving, I crawl on my hands and knees till I get to the stairs, wouldn't want to ruin someones day!
