Hundreds far worse is a bit of stretch. I could probably get up to a hundred easily enough - but over 200 in 14 years? Please have a go.
If we’re being literal about the original statement then it’s a period of 16 years and approximately 5 months, during which time the overwhelming majority of LCFC signings were far below the level of an Iheanacho. Was I exaggerating? Definitely, but not by a lot.

I don't think that Iheanacho is a bad player: we simply don't play his sort of game. Ironically, Saturday's game, when we were camped in their half for most of the second half, was made for him so, unsurprisingly, he didn't get a look in.

He would have loved the 39 lofted crosses into the box

Really? I think that you would be pushing it there. I can remember the time he was out on the right side of midfield and he received a [ass in acres of space and then tripped over the ball. He was quality bad! Even Akinbuyi was bad but at least he got into the right position to screw up. Ianacho can't even do that without a map and pre-briefing

Ade Akinbuyi and Iheanacho - eh? I remember saying to a Liverpool fan that after selling Heskey, City would have been better buying two hefty defenders and a solid Edwardian wardrobe and sticking it on the penalty spot rather than signing Akinbuyi - I reckoned random deflections from sturdy furniture would have scored more than he managed during his time at Leicester. (The defenders were needed to move the wardrobe to the other end at half time). Unfortunately Iheanacho is like an assembly kit wardrobe from Ikea, you think it looks good in the brochure, you build it up, it takes ages to get into position and then doesn't quite fit anyway. As you paid so much for it in the first place no-one will buy it off of you now for a decent price.

Ade was a disaster generally speaking, BUT I was at an away game at Burnley when he came on as sub and changed the game. On that night he was immense. A real presence and on his day (unfortunately there weren't many) he could be a real handful.

Ade never played for us at Burnley. He played against us at Burnley, and looked decent then.

You're probably thinking of Trevor Benjamin. He came off the bench and scored at Burnley in 2003.

**** me, how low can we stoop when we are discussing the attributes of a certain Ade Panicbuye.

‘His second touch was always a tackle’

‘I’ve seen him trap a ball further than I can kick it’

An absolutely dreadful striker.
