You’re in the Puel In camp then?

But Vichai appointed him and had plenty of time to get rid of him if he didn't like what he was seeing.

Right now, do you really think King Power are worried about LCFC when we are comfortable in mid table with no sign of relegation? I'm sure they have much more pressing issues to deal with after losing the spearhead of their organisation who's relationship with the Royal Family was quite pivitol to the organisations success.

We're not in trouble but we are one or two players short of being able to launch a proper challenge to the elite.

You genuinely believe this manager can compete with the elite, genuinely?

Well he has just successfully managed a team that has beaten 2 of them so why not.
Your logic might hold some water if we hadn’t just lost to a league 2 side and some utterly shit sides at home.

You mean the logic that we could mix it up in the top 6 with a manager that has just beaten 2 of the more successful ones?

Yep, completely illogical that and would they be the defeats where the manager was criticised for being too arrogant against Newport and then not arrogant enough against Southampton?

The same logic suggests we could mix it up in the bottom 6 seeing as with our manager we have just lost to two of the shittest teams in the division.

Great logic.

I think the players have to take some responsibility. When playing 10 men,the key is to pull the opposition out of shape. You do this by staying wide, moving the ball quickly......we did none of that and stayed the width of the penalty area.

Feel free to rub it in my face when we’re in the top 6 under Puel then. Just take a moment and ask yourself whether that can actually happen.

I am genuinely stunned that anyone could think that this manager could negotiate this team into the top six.

I work with a Forest fan and we have been discussing there manager fortunes over the last few weeks, as they have now had 26 managers in the 25 years since Clough left (including caretaker managers).

To his credit my mate was able to name nearly all of them, but he came to the conclusion that they had not appointed a single ‘good’ manager in that entire time.

That doesn’t mean that clubs should never sack a manager but it does highlight the difficulty with choosing a new manager and for that reason I am still of the opinion that we should wait until the summer before choosing our next manager.

I would change my mind however if there was someone of the quality of Benitez available and keen to come.

I really do believe that the boss was going to fire him after the West Ham game, if Noble had not been red carded West Ham would have gone on to spank us that night. I think Vichai was going to pull the trigger had he not had that awful accident.

I actually agree.

|I think that the man is a visionary. I think that he has a plan where most of the time he makes so many changes to the team each week that there is no continuity. He brings in young players like Choudry for two games against Chelsea and Man C where he gets deservedly rave reviews and just in case he becomes confident in his abilities, he drops him for the next game. Whenever we get somewhere near to gaining points on Arsenal in 5th he deliberately puts out a team and tactics (1 up front and 10 in defence) that we loose. I think I see his plan now. He wants the team to be so used to not knowing who will play and what system they will use that when they get accustomed to it he can go on holiday for months and leave the team selection to the tea lady. No-one will know they will be so used to the hap-haphazardness of selection that they will not know he is not there. Brilliant in its deviousness isn't it?

An out of context photo on the Mercury website - in this particular photo, which looks like Puel has kicked it to a player, what is actually happening is that he sees it coming, totally miscontrols it, and the ball ends up rolling towards the bench.
It was notable that a few people commented - not too kindly - on that particularly unskilled piece of control from our manager.

If that's your first post, go and make yourself an excellent cup of tea and treat yourself to a Jammie Dodger. You've judged the mood and style of this particular forum brilliantly.

Thank you my friend. Before I cottoned on this tactical genius I was under the illusion that Ianacho was the worst player we had signed since Junior Lewis. Now I am wondering if he is actually much better than he shows. He is probably as baffled as the rest of us. I mean, you can imagine the talk by the manager as he is subbed after his customary 63 minutes. Puel to Nacho " Nach, you were absolute Arse Gravy today. Your in the team next week" Nacho goes off to the bench totally dazed but happy is playing next week. Mwanwhile Puel looks at Ricardo...."damm hes good....he's out next week"
