I dunno, because I did! All over the place when Waggy scored. Awesome.

:icon_lol:

Well the goal was followed by an energetic fist pump.......

Bamba MoM by a country mile - outstanding for the first goal, defended well all game and barnstorming last 20 mins. £250k bargain.

Mee also excellent.

Ricardo didnt do a lot wrong - if anything his dodgy moments came when, in my opinion, he was fouled. He did palm away a testing cross in the last 10 mins but he knocked it away from goal and away from immediate danger. He looks OK and can pass it well from feet, unlike Weale.

Overall, we ground out the 3pts tonight. No player was better than 6/10 other than Mee & Bamba who were excellent. Waghorn came on and played like he was on a mission. A crucial goal in a crucial game - to play poorly and still win is the mark of a good side. on to Cardiff..............

I'm glad to hear that. The Bristol commentators were saying how poor he was and it really had me biting my fingernails. I was quite surprised by the shot statistics at the end too, they made it sound like they were bombarding our goal. That said it was quite obvious it wasn't our best performance by a mile and so very happy that we ground out the 3 points.

We didn't seem to pass very well today and a lot seemed to go astray.

Spot on. Waggy was playing for his life. Chased everything and did more in his 6 minutes than a lot of the others in 90. Our passing game tonight really stunk, and BC were trying to steal every ball. Felt like we were a little too confident at times...

Great result from a poor performance.

Few people seem to have Ricardo tinted glasses on though.

I don't think he's great but certainly no worse than Weale, and not sure what he did wrong tonight, though I haven't seen their goal up close.

Wow. How did we win that? I thought Brizzle did a really good job on us.

Oakley may as well have worn a red shirt. Dreadful, dreadful, totally inept player. We've progressed well beyond idle oafs like him. Abe is miles better surely?

We should persist with Ricardo for a few more games before making judgements. The man has done enough in his career to deserve more time and respect. Fans calling for Weale during the game were well out of order.

Very few of the lads were on their game tonight, yet we won.

We will be much better on Tuesday night. Should be a cracker.

One of his dire goal kicks conceded the corner that lead to their goal. His attempts at claiming crosses and then trying to make out he was fouled when he dropped the ball were laughable. Weales no world beater but he can kick the ball beyond the half way line and can claim crosses.

Played poorly and won :icon_bigg Bristol City weren't that good, its just that our lot didn't look like they fancied it. Oakley was awful. Wellens was below-par. King was the only one of the middle three who played ok but still a lot of his passes were off.

Yakubu looked lethargic again for most of the match, but he scored so no complaints from me. Waggy looked up for it as soon as he came on.

Mee my MOTM, totally immense second half especially. Bamba also good (his build up and cross for Yak's goal was magic).

Ricardo.... not impressed. A lot of flapping and miscommunication with his defenders (the moment when he fell over Mee stands out). I'd read his distribution was good at the Derby game so watched for that especially but didn't see any evidence that he was better at it than Weale (though everyones passes were off). Still, it's the first game I've seen him play so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

I thought his goal kicks were fairly decent considering we had no height to aim for, and thought he was fouled. I don't think Weale can claim crosses either tbh and his kicking is worse, but we shall see how it pans out with Ricardo I guess.

At least half of the team were off-form and more importantly, the performance was rather cocky. Ricardo's positives seem to be Weale's weaknesses and viceversa. Bamba is this generation's Wanchope...he makes me laugh. Mee's a good defender but can't pass and is often caught out positionally.

Brizzle were atrocious first half, hoofball showcased when the opportunity was available. Then they realised a result was possible:

Lesson learned City. Bonus pts game at Cardiff now.

Oh yes and Oakley, **** me....retirement's coming. At one point, he was beaten by the bounce of the ball!

Virtually ever goal kick I can remember went amongst red shirts. Nowhere near one of our players. This was certainly the case for the corner that led to their goal.

I hope I'm wrong but I suspect he will be horribly exposed from crosses in the coming weeks.

I agree with the first point, but the second, IU think Mee has great distribution, especially when compared to Hobbs.
