Virtually ever goal kick I can remember went amongst red shirts. Nowhere near one of our players. This was certainly the case for the corner that led to their goal.

I hope I'm wrong but I suspect he will be horribly exposed from crosses in the coming weeks.

Agree totally. I'm still too cold to think any original thoughts.

Oh and he did worry me as he spent so much of the 2nd half so far up the pitch. I presume he had been told to.

I agree with the first point, but the second, IU think Mee has great distribution, especially when compared to Hobbs.

As I said a week back or so, not a lot of difference for me in their passing. Numerous times Mee chose to hit it long and the air, that's not our style and it loses the ball. It clearly got to the point where the Brizzle striker made sure that he closed down Bamba but not Mee. He's a good stopper though, be interesting to hear how he does at Cardiff.

Be interesting to see Bruma when his chance comes too.

Vitor will be in for Mee on Tuesday

Note to some supporters:

When the announcer says 'The referee has indicated a minimum of 5 minutes additional time, 5 minutes!' this should not be a cue to head for the exits you tossers.

First game I have been able to get to for weeeks. Astonished how bad we were compared to previous 3-4 games.
Have to accept that Yakubu is not going to tackle back, but if he is averaging nearly a goal a game I will accept that.
Bamba is just amazing. Just seems to stroll around all over the pitch as if warming up for a basketball game. Loads of tricks, flicks and touches and gets away with it. Even sits on the ball tonight and still gets up and makes the pass.
Ricardo obviously makes a lot of people nervous because he will keep the ball at his feet rather than pick it up, but does seem to distribute it better than Weale.
I thought Oakley was simply awful tonight and I hope Abe gets the sweeper start for Cardiff.
Mee getting stronger and better every game.
Waghorn obviously a man on a mission and could get a start ahead of Vassell next time.

**** me! A lucky deflection off Oakley falls perfectly for Waghorn in the 92nd minute to get 3 points. And it even happened against our bogey side of recent seasons.

Something definitely seems to be going for us at the moment.

All three midfielders were shite. Gave away possession far too often and hardly any tackles were going in from any of them.

I could've cheerfully strangled all three of them for letting Brizzle steamroller the middle of the park for large parts of the game.

Anyhoo........I'm not going to dwell on the negatives!!

Last minute gloriously struck winner, deflected assist off a players back...........that is why I think we are going up!!:038:

Just got back.

Credit to Bristol City, felt they did a good job of stopping us playing, and dominated for spells. We struggled to get going.

Bamba is immense, really impressed.

Ricardo is hard to judge, can't help feeling he's getting away with it, but could easily cost us a game, But so far what he does seems to work.

I felt the midfield were off the pace, perhaps King and Wellens could use a rest.

I thought everyone seemed a bit apathetic to be honest. It was so flat out there, seemed as if everyone just assumed we'd win because of the good run we've been on and the bad run Brizzle have been on. To get 3 points from that was a huge result.

On a side note, me and a couple of mates caught the last bus back to Melton rather than 1 of us driving, what a mistake that was. Having to listen to a bunch of pond-life idiots all the way back was not the greatest experience of my life :icon_conf

No, so it must mean there's a load of City fans doing a tour of Guatamala right now. Lako should keep an eye out for them

It was Lako's first name but I don't think what came after belonged to him.

I thought Bristol City did well. They were up against players who were better than them and rattled us especially in the 2nd half. The people who criticise them are IMO being unfair; if they had tried to play nice football they would have been outclassed and certain to lose. As it was they were level at ninety minutes and only lost because of a moment of brilliance from Waghorn.

Ricardo was taking free kicks from the half way line which was clearly following Sven's instructions. It gives us an extra man to aim for but I wishnhe would not saunter back to his penalty area as it left us exposed to a counter attack.

The midfield passing was often intelligent but poorly executed and Wellens had a poor game by his standards. Naughton found it more difficult to help the attack than usual although when he was able to get down the down the line he looked dangerous. Vassell was not very effective.

All in all not a great performance but a very welcome three points.

Delighted we won as I am usually the kiss of death when I go to a game and I thought my jinx had happened again!!

Felt Bristol City played well and frankly must feel they deserved a point. They seemed hungrier for it somehow. Still as they say play badly and win is a sign of a good side.

First ever balti pie tonight. Yum!!!

I wasn't at the game, but watching the highlights on Sky the header flicked off someone's head (van Aanholt?) before going in?

It was going in anyway, he was just trying to clear it and he headed it into the roof of the net (it may have been over the line already anyway from where I was sitting).

Goals like that are never given as own goals.

I've just watched it again, and it did flick his head before it went in. He was on the six yard line. Doesn't really. Big win!

Couldn't believe people were streaming out of their seats a full 8 minutes before half-time to go to the facilities!

Can only assume they thought they could still use their pie and pint vouchers.

The muppets who left 5 minutes before the end of the 90 (that's TEN minutes before the end of the game) deserved to miss one of the best finishes seen at the Walkers.

Can't understand why people are having a go at Ricardo. He should have had a foul awarded when the ball was kicked out of his hands and made some good saves. Didn't punch once all night and caught the ball when needed. He didn't flap at anything.

Ah, maybe I was thinking of somebody else after that.

I agree, I thought a couple of Ricardo's saves were excellent, one in particular in which I wouldn't have been sure Weale would have saved. Thought he had a very good game overall, bar one drop of the ball (there was another one, but that clearly wasn't his fault and was a clear foul that was not given, as said)
