Re: Leicester City 2 Middlesbrough 0

10 wins from the last 19 games should give us a good chance of going up. We need to keep this run going.

19 wins from 19 would give us an even better chance. Reckon we should aim for that.

Stringer saying Moore has NOT broken any ribs. Good news

7 wins 7 draws job done imo 28 points

Excellent news about Moore. Good stuff. This Saturday gets even better. If it keeps going like this the Mrs might even start getting frisky! :)

Another ho hum, bog standard, city win.

PeasTun out.

God, if we can just get QPR and Burnley to wobble just a little it'd be fantastic.

If we can open up a double digit gap soon it's all over.

Thanks a lot for all the messages. Gutted to have to come of today. But another massive result from the boys. Hoping to be discharged sooní*½í¹

First half was a joke. The pitch couldn't handle the deluge and passing became impossible. Boro adapted better than us and could easily have gone in front. It was a relief that half time came and the rain stopped.

Second half saw us much more like ourselves as passing became possible again. I thought Morgan had a very good game. Knockaert impressed me with his attitude in the conditions. Dyer less so. But Vardy was the star of the show. His relentless running and hassling got us a goal and a penalty.

Mind you, the first should never have stood as the ball went out of play before Nugent passed to Vardy.

From this position, it is utterly ridiculous to imagine anything other than promotion. We'd have to instantly switch to relegation form to screw this up and that just won't happen. We can afford to lose a few and still cruise this. Burnley aren't going to get mid 80 points and nobody else is either apart from QPR.

It's about fecking time we were back with the big boys.

@BN At what point do you rescind all the 'sack Pearson' bollocks you were spouting in the summer ?

Sky TV were saying the same but when they showed the goal it didn't, to me, look completely over the line. Yes the bottom of the ball had cleared the line but with the ball being spherical, I think that the edge of the ball was still in the line.

I'm trying to be impartial on this too. One of those things I suppose.

Totally shitty shit first half in which we completely failed to cope with the pitch. We were feckin' awful. In fact we weren't that good.

Rain stopped. Pitch dried a bit. We came out for the second half and were excellent.
Vardy and James outstanding. Knocky and Nugent close behind. Most others played very, very well. All apart from Konchesky, of course, who was complete and utter shit.

Seven on the bounce ? Nine points clear of third place ?

We're going to win this at a canter, we really are.

If you're genuinely interested, I've made a few posts explaining my thoughts over recent months. In general terms, I praise us when we merit it and I criticise when it's due too.

NP has surprised me no end this season because he's doing things he's never done before and they're for the better (varying formations when appropriate, being more aware of the opposition, recruiting street-wise, experienced players). He did totally lose the plot last season and my faith in him disintegrated as a result. But he's changed and, as a result, my view of him has changed too.

That said, we've had quite a lot of luck this season in terms of penalties, lack of injuries, etc. And I still don't like him, but I do now respect him. Most managers couldn't do what he's done this season.

Anyway, stay tuned as I imagine that I may well be one of the first calling for his dismissal if he proves to be out of his depth in the Premier League next year. :icon_wink

Simply completely agree - excellent sum up of the game.

I'd agree with this less so. Too much heart break from this club to start celebrating yet. Once I know the least we can finish is 2nd by goal difference, I'll begin partying. Big partying.

I agree with BN's selection of players who did well. Nugent was quality until his peno miss. James great tracking back.

But Konchesky? Absolutely piss poor. I'd love a left back in this week. Now I've just read he's got a contract extension!
