I saw him play Caractacus Potts in the Bristol Hippodrome a few years back. He can hold a tune alright, but seeing a black fella play the father of two white kids, and the son of a white army officer, in a role made famous by Dick Van Dyke, was a little surreal.
It was exponetially better than waiting for the tour to come to Cardiff though, as Aled Jones was cast in the part, the ****.

As an aside, I had front row seats, and when the orchestra struck up, I welled up. Soppy old git I am.
