I can understand the reasons for the senior players meeting with the owners if Ranieri had lost the plot.

But whatever Ranieri may have done wrong, surely could the players not have the decency to ask the owners to remove Ranieri with some dignity.

Do they not know how much his leadership and his dealings with the media kept the pressure off the players to allow them to achieve the impossible?

Now the pressure is most definitely on them to try to earn some respect from the fans.
