A disappointing performance was bound to come. We should be thankful for the fantastic run that went before. Some of the reactions in this thread are just plain daft....but I do understand what lies behind them. The trouble is that unexpected marvellous success only breeds even greater expectation.

It's no use suggesting that people 'get real'. They probably get all the reality they need in everyday life and want something a bit different from their football.

I've just seen a video of the Liverpool breakaway that was foiled by the late interventions of Morgan and Kramaric. Appalling refereeing and a ref and linesman who are clearly unaware of the offside rule - much like the pair that allowed our goal at Fratton Park all those years ago that sent us to Wembley.

I'd forgotten what this felt like

Still top

Happy days

I'm starting to get annoyed at how often Okazaki falls over. He must surely have a pretty low centre of gravity but just constantly falls over. He has to be stronger.

Until I watched it on MOTD last
night it was so obvious that there was only Morgan there and any forward pass would be offside.
Would have loved us to have scored in that final attack that followed to shut the Scousers up.

We looked just as tired against Everton and got away with it. Yesterday, the energy levels weren't there and we paid for it.

It's hardly surprising when we've got so much out of these players over the last few months. It would be bizarre if they kept it up. The issue we have is that our back up players in attacking positions aren't really good enough. Ulloa, Okazaki, Kramaric and Dyer are now needed to step up and none of them appear to be capable.

I said in August we should have loaned out Kramaric to QPR for the year and got Austin in return, on loan or transfer. We should still look to do that (or something similar) to support Vardy. We also really need a 'number 10' type player that can play in behind our main striker and create. We have been fortunate to have so much creativity from wide positions. We have none through the middle and could do with it to give the likes of Mahrez and Albrighton a bit of support and give us another dimension.

Two or three big signings in January would give us a massive chance of the top three. If we leave the current crop to it, they will stagger through a bad run that will cost us and we'll regret it for a generation. The players, supporters and owners deserve to see this through. It'll cost, but it'll be worth it.

Vardy playing with a fever apparantly. How wise was that?

It seems that Klipperty had done his homework on us before the game. They knew where we would be dangerous and did their best to nullify.

It could be difficult against Man City too as many of or players seem 'tired' and Man City have a massive squad. At least V. Kompany (sp) shouldn't be playing.

Aren't all squads limited to 25 players?
I was meaning that Man C. have a squad of massive players.
Oh, not that. A squad of big names. We've a great set of 12-ish players, Man City have 25 world- class players. Supposedly.
