Gutted he wants to go, the guy is without doubt the most technically gifted footballer ever to wear our colours, but as he clearly wants out and as this season has just shown the time has come to part company for the best interests of all parties.
I just hope everybody is fair and try's to protect the best interests of all parties, for me a fee of £40m would be decent business really hope we don't become too greedy and look for a minimum of £50m and potentially end up with a very unhappy player or worse still a long protracted transfer saga right through the window, only for him to leave on deadline day leaving us with little opportunity to use the cash.
