Is Gray likely to win PFA player of the year? Or have a world class season like Mahrez? Highly unlikely.

Well Leicester won the prem so it's possible.

Is he likely to disappear off the face of the earth when he's 26 like Mahrez? Highly unlikely.

If I'd told you Mahrez would have a world class season at 25 when he was 21 or 22 or 23 or even 24, you would have laughed me off the forum.

I'm amazed how negative you are about our young talents. There is no reason why Gray and a couple of other young players in our team shouldn't turn out to be top players. It's easy to be negative and pessimistic about players, after all if they turn out as good as some of us think you'll just bask in the glory.

Juve would be a cracking move for him.

Clearly, I have no knowledge if this is actually the case, I'm just going out on a limb here as I've not seen every match played ever in Serie A. I've never been to Turin either. I should probably stfu.

Probably, no definitely, but not for the reasons you stated.

Hard to take that seriously. The repeated mention of Gray being a January signing and not mention last year makes me think it's just a quick find and replace job on an old article.

Well they are in the CL.

I agree. Looks a load of made up bollocks, to me.

Its also easy to over hype a player after all if they dont turn out world beaters you'll just bask in the misery.
Im not trying to be overly negative about Gray amd i do think hes got potential but i think people down play just how good Mahrez was that season based on his form this season.

I haven't seen anyone downplay his performance in THAT season.

He was ****ing incredible, an absolute pleasure to watch.

Last season he was the exact opposite.

On Foxestalk there's a 20 minute video of Riyad during our league winning season.
He was hungry, dynamic, quick and decisive.
Something he rarely showed this season just finished.
If one of our managers had had the gonads to drop him, the old Riyad might have returned.
I enjoyed what he brought to our Premier League winning season (still makes me chuckle when I type that) but he's tarnished that with his abject performances of this season

You couldn't make a proper judgement if you had all the facts tied up in a bow and handed to you. Your posts are always inane negative comments.

Actually, in the great escape season, Homer was the one who was positive about City avoiding relegation when things looked really dire.

@stayingupwithhomer.

I've not heard anyone say a negative thing about his great season but many seem to have forgiven his abhorrent play this season which wasn't within 2 divisions of his play last season. Not really sure why you think he'll be the player of 2 years ago next season as opposed to the player of last season.

They almost never swap. This is one of the major problems we have; an inability to be flexible.

Ranieri made it pretty clear that the team where incapable of flexibility.

The Mahrez saga also highlights the lost opportunity with regards to a new manager. I feel as though a new manager may have been able to get him to reproduce his title-winning form.

I'm struggling to think of who else might want him, at the top level.
Absolutely, and I don't know why they would after last season - so I fail to understand why he'd go.

That's a fib, I know why he wants to go, and that's what makes him an utter cock.
