I do however have an issue with someone who applauds and congratulates such a tackle.

Nothing funny about it...except of course in the case of the extremely similar one by Andoni Goikoetxea on that hideous shite Maradona.I laughed myself sick & bought a round of drinks to celebrate that one after reading about it in the pub.
Even went so far as to write to Athletic Bilbao congratulating Mr G & suggesting that he should be honoured by UEFA for services to football.
Unfortunately the poisonous little cretin recovered & resumed his career.
Most likely all that coke helped kill the pain until well into the Nineties.
