Aylestone road now has a bus lane in both directions from the junction with Saffron lane, so now double yellows and no parking by the railway bridge, more parking spaces have disappeared!

Parked on Upperton Road tonight with no problems. It's clear some changes are imminent but to say they came into force yesterday is not the case. All of the signs attached to posts were covered over and the pay and display machines are a way off being ready.
True. Ours came in yesterday but still covered over with cardboard. We still don't have our permits, neither do my neighbours (seven or eight either side) Some obvious non-residents parking but apparently there is a short amnesty. Did get angry with BN on his post but that was fuelled by lager and 20 years frustration. Tonights win means I don't care who parks where. I am so ****ing fickle :icon_bigg. I will think differently tomorrow!

In about 50 years, people will look back at bus lanes and howl in derision about how totally ridiculous an idea they were. Typical of our brain-dead Council that they continue to obstruct the City with them.

The restrictions on the West side of the City weren't in operation despite signage everywhere saying they were from yesterday. As a result, cars parked as usual there. I predict some chaos at the Florist match when they finally go ahead with it.

agreed, I will laugh as I hover over them in my hover car wishing I could get on the sky track everyone else is using :icon_bigg

:038: The council have decided to delay this scheme until the new year. Thankfully, there are as incompetent as ever.

The Westcotes Experimental Residents’ Parking Scheme commences on Monday 16th December 2013, with a ‘grace’ period when warning notices will be issued until 5th January 2014. From 6th January 2014 enforcement will begin.
