You put this at the beginning of the thread Melts then in a later you say he'll be our best striker next season? I don't understand? :102:
It was irony, if he is flat footed he would be gone, but the fact that he is still here proves that he isn't flat footed at all, just more bullshit from the club to cover RKs apparent dislike for certain players

Fair do's

IMO best striker at the club - again

One goal doesn't make him a hero. But as i have said all along, give him a few matches not full one, bring him on, take him off etc, get his fitness back. This is the first season in his career he has had this many injuries he is young, and i still think he and Hume can be good/quality strikers, with the right service.

he was talking about tiatto beacause he back off to play in australia

:icon_redf Oh yeah, sorry, missed that. I agree Tiatto was MotM though...

I don't think we'll miss Tiatto - He's never done much for us apart from accumulate suspensions, and he's way too rash with his challenges. The elbow he did was pretty appalling. Shooting rarely on target.

Then again I prefer him to Hughes...

Tiatto has been our best midfielder this season. We will miss him next season unless our new manager replaces him with a similar 'take no prisoners' player who can boss our midfield and set the wingers and strikers running on to passes.

Tiatto did the ideal midfielder job he's told, pick up the 2nd ball which he did.

The reason Fryatt looked better than Hammond when he came on was simple. When Hammond was on, we decided to lump the ball foward in the air the likes of Leacock and Moore would take it all day. Hammond for me did okay again, he hold the ball up well but with no support from midfield kept losing it. He's an ideal player when away from home. When Fryatt came on, the team began to play balls on the deck behind the defenders and they struggled. Jarrett's ball to Fryatt is the kind of service every centre forward should expect and Fryatt put it away superbly.

For me, the reason he looked better is because he's better at football and has a footballing brain

Spot on, the midfield didn't change, Fryatt chenged the game, he was running back into the midfield and getting the ball, he was running out to the wing to get it. His finish was excellent from one of the best defence splitting passes we've seen this year.

When Fryatt was playing as an out and out striker, he made space, he made runs, he made it easy for the midfielders to find him, he lost his man. Hume and Elvis can't do this

Or maybe because the 2nd half didnt contain Kisnorbo whacking the ball up from 70 yrds out?

But a point I forgot to include is that Hammond is a different type of striker to Fryatt. Elvis plays in front of the defender and Fryatt looks to get in behind.

Fryatt has a footballing brain,Hammond doesn't even have a brain,he is a joke footballer...IMO

With the right balls played to him Fryatt will score, he knows where he needs to be to put the ball away. We won't see the best of him until we have a player that can make intricate passes like Jarrets yesterday.
