Leicester City are set to sign Lincoln City's highly rated defender Gareth McAuley.

The 26-year-old Northern Ireland international had attracted the interest of former Foxes boss Craig Levein, who left the club in January. Current City boss Rob Kelly is also a fan and is set to make McAuley his first permanent signing.

The 26-year-old joined Lincoln two years ago from Coleraine in Northern Ireland and was part of the Imps' squad that missed out on a place in the League Two play-off final, losing to Grimsby in the semi-finals earlier this week.
City are hoping to finalise the deal within the next 48 hours.

Care to enlighten us Boc?

Nothing to enlighten you with. I just don't expect him to go.

If this happens I would say its a cert that Kisnorbo is a gooner.
Kisnorbo has improved, but come on Durham not that much:icon_wink

I think Kisnorbo is a good centre back but I havnt seen how McAuley plays. Could be a good move. But if we are looking for stability in the side, we need to keep out better playes. ie. Mcarthy, Kisnorbo, ect
