But look at the upturn in results and morale after MDV, Dublin and Levein all left, if RK felt that MDV was the right sort of player then surely he wouldnt have sanctioned him moving on. IMO we have seen the last of De Vries in a Leicester shirt.

`mdv went just before rk took temp charge from what i know it was done before cl was sacked ,so there could be a role for him in rk team :102:

He played in the FA Cup match vs Southampton, which was Kelly's first match in charge and was then moved on fairly sharpish following that game.

i think he'd be a lot more effective that O'grady on the bench.
I think MDv's most effective position could well be on the bench.

I must be the only one on here who Doesn't think he's that bad...:102:

You're not.

He isn't bad. Under-confident. We have seen what he can do, he was fantastic against Spurs. He is the kind of player who CAN change a game.

now the season is over here and in holland will he come back to city or are they going to keep him ,if so anyone got any idea what price we mite get for him (keep it clean plz:018: ;) )

I doubt very much if Heerenveen will want to keep him. He's scored three times - but every time he scores, their opponents get 4. Sounds like a bit of a Jonah!!

MDV is by no means the worst striker we have had and is almost certainly third best to Fryatt and Hume amongst our contracted strikers. I thought it was risky to loan him out when we were in trouble and suspect we could do with him in reserve for next season.

rk had no say init it was a done deal before he took over fact

Well why did Kelly quite blatantly say that he played a part in the decison in a press conference? It was Kellys decision to let him go.

MDV was moved on within days of CL leaving, not before. If CL was still here I believe MDV would still be starting for us

Rather have MDV here, than that useless tosspot Hammond
