So let's place it in context. All three managers IMO have done a similar job - all hovered at the same spot, Ollie will back up to the heights of Megson once we win a couple of games.

Allen went - cos MM fell out with him

Megson went - to better himself.

Burrows/Taggart went - probably did the best job out of all 4 them.

Ollie is here - and not doing much better

Point in making is nothing's changed regardless of style or tactics, they have all been below average and a new manager on the current form of manager turnover won't do much better.

Go on about Megson sorting out the defence - we'd get 3 draws from 3 games, with Ollie it's probably 1 win and 2 draws from 3 games. It's all relative. The defence issue for me also goes down to the keeper, Fulop gave the back 4 piece of mind, Alnwick with his proneness to errors doesn't.

Holloway 17 Games 4 wins 7 Draws 6 Loses Just under 25% win rate
Megson 9 Games 3 wins 2 Draws 4 Loses 33.33 % win rate

We never got 3 draws under Megson. if you double Megsons games we would quite possibly have won more under him than we have under Holloway.
Therefore ''Megson did a better job than Holloway so far'' is actually a correct statement.

TBH nobody knows where we would be, whoever replaced GM. Warnock was my first choice, and deserved a chance as much as anyone.
