Another pile of shite too add to gemmill, keown, blake, dublin, pressman, ricardo, makin, wilcox, I am over the hill and passed group of players to represent our club in the last ten years.

Bit harsh to add Dublin and Makin to that list imo. Both did a decent jobs for us, hardly earth shattering, but both decent enough players who weren't helped by playing in godawful sides. I wouldn't call either of anywhere near shite for us or rank them alongside the others you listed (Steve Howey another one you missed).

Chris Makin was terrible for us. It was a blessing when he left and we replaced him with Alan Maybury....

I thought he was decent, though I admit I may have completely confused him with Gary Rowett. Players from that era all seem to blend into one after a while.

All clubs make mistakes - and we have made plenty. What seems a bit different this time is the apparant scale of the money involved in the speculation about wages. We don't know the precise details but if the figures at the lower end of the speculation are even remotely accurate then the club has flushed down the drain incredible sums on effectively time expired players like Ball and Johnson. In my opinion Sven lacked a sense of reality when it came to fees and wages but there should have been other people at the club to take a grip of matters like this.

I've no idea what fraction of the financial resources of the owners are tied up with LCFC possibly its not going to be critical to them. That said, there is likely to be a day when they move on and unless things are really sorted by then I just wonder what sort of debts will be in place at that point.

Den ... No, sorry, I still can't bring myself to say his name.

Fined 6k for a homophobic comment about Coronation Street actor Anthony Cotton. Do footballers put anything good or interesting on twitter? Or is it just a platform for them to make fools of themselves. I don't use it so naturally I only hear about the bad things reported in the media.

David Nugent was retweeting all of the insults he received from Southampton 'fans' before the match. It's outrageous the type of comments that were made even if David did provoke them :-)

Yes I saw something about Soton fans inviting him to 'Gary Speed himself' and another charming post saying that they hope his family all die of AIDS.

I can't even began to imagine how it felt for Nuge to curl in that blooter after only 10 minutes. Hilarious!

If he wasnt fired up enough for the game already I imagine those tweets made him more so and scoring was so much sweeter.

He spent a lot of time grinning in the direction of the Southampton fans last night.
