Um, perhaps. On the local news yesterday, he was asked directly if he had made a mistake in appointing MA, and he said, "No."

he didnt make a mistake in taking him on if he met all the criteria of what the new manager was to be.
A while after taking him on, they then realised they could not work together, thats a different story

My opinion, and my opinion only is that I looked upon MA as a complete twat. I used to cringe when I listened to him on the radio or saw a TV interview. I think I must be the only one to be glad to see the back of the cockney tosser.

You're not. I didn't like him either. And I don't like MM, but I like the fact that he's funding the club.
We are under no obligation to LIKE either of these people.

Its not that he made a mistake, we all do that. It is the blithe way that he says that he'll sack 20 managers if necessary. This may be an exaggeration, but cannot be totally dismissed with his record.
At the risk of my having to eat hunble pie (again!), can you name a team that has changed manager on a regular basis and then had success?

Inter Milan, Real Madrid

No one knows why he sacked him and no one will know...we can only speculate.

Personally I don't think that 3 league games is enough to come to a conclusion that someone is not right for the job and that they have no chance of guiding us to promotion, especially after that person has just overseen the demolition of strong promotion favourates Watford.

If it isn't the above then there must be another reason and one we will probably never know.

Perhaps Milan was jealous of his popularity and he was miffed he was not the main event anymore. Perhaps Martin spoke up too much. Perhaps (and most likely) Milan wanted to dictate the signings and having imposed a lot of players on the squad Martin decided enough was enough and he did not want any more. Having rejected Jimmy there was only one thing Milan was going to do.

But, according to an earlier post, you were able to see that Allen was, I believe I quote, "a complete twat". I imagine that you did not interview Allen, or have regular direct dealings with him. Milan did and it took twelve weeks to concur.

And said same person had oversaw the demise at the hands of relegation favourites Blackpool and scraped by against Mighty Accrinton?

There is a difference between "twat" and "bad manager"

No, but in my defense I don't follow any football other than Leicester or Liverpool so I'm not in the best position to judge, sorry.

A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN
Posted on: Fri 31 Aug 2007

It pains me to say that it protects both parties but at the same time prevents any kind of transparency.

That statement to me imlplies that both have something to hide.

I have maintained throughout my brief tenure at the club that unity and trust must prevail. Everything becomes pointless without it.

I have asked for one thing from the supporters, trust. And in trying and difficult times I implore you to back my judgment move on and get right behind the team.

Without prevailing unity this club cannot function so it's imperative we stand together and work toward our goal of promotion this season.

Milan Mandaric

I get the impression he feels Allen betrayed his trust in some way. I Just wonder if the decision was a proffesional, or a personnal one.

whats my opinion on MA and MM taking him on get to do with it.

What a stupid reply

How many game had that group of players had together?

We knew it would take time. But three games. It is a joke.

I am presuming that you were not simply inferring that Allen was an unpleasant individual, but that he was a bad manager. Milan now seems to agree. I am concerned that, with so much more contact, it took the chairman so much longer to discover.

BG - if anyone is sad enough to pick through my posts then they will see that I was never convinced at all by Allen. That said I wasn't convinced by Taylor, Bassett, Adams, Levein, Kelly or Worthington either!

Milan is an emperor rather than a chairman/owner. But I like his style. Can you imagine the previous faceless chairman writing in such a direct and frank way?

Milan doesn't acknowledge mistakes - first he appoints Allen; then he tells the opened mouth devotees that they are a "team"; then he sacks him after pulling off one of the best results by the football team in the last three seasons. Great stuff! Milan makes the rules so Milan can break the rules!

It will take an exceptional person to get Leicester City back in the premiership in quick time and in Milan we have someone who might just do that. I think we should treasure him, eccentricities and all.

No I was saying he was a twat and nothing more. How he did his job back stage I have no idea if he was good or bad. He just had one of those "punch me in the gob" faces. I would still have looked upon him as a twat even if we won the Champions League.
The bloke I would say is of limited intelligence

where the feck is Melton, he is sad enough to find them.

I'm not sorry he is gone at all either.

I Don't like that as a rusult of him being dismissed so early our club is once again a target for the media for the wrong reasons.

I Also worry the effect this will have on our ability to sign a good manager, good players, and how it will effect the squad.

MA has made a lot of changes at the club, despite his short spell, his going will require a lot of further changes (restoration?) that will impact on the players.

I apologise, I thought that we were discussing these people's aptitude for their footballing responsibilities. I know neither personally but, perhaps naively, believe both to be honourable gents doing their best.

Yeah, but you're a genius, so everyone will seem of limited intelligence to you.
That's been my personal experience of geniushood, anyway.....:) :)

Its tough Innocent, it really is.
Its a cross I have to bear.
