What I find interesting is people who criticise the Portugese Police and their methods, and are now intimating that the McCanns are being "fitted up" in a vain attempt by Portugese Police to deflect criticism of a percieved shambolic investigation. Where were the DNA samples tested ............................

Birmingham England.

due to it being the best testing center in the world .
and yes i see where your going with this that its us that has found the DNA

Charge the parents with neglect if nothing else.

So had enough of this now. People driving round with 'find maddy' posters in their cars. get real. As boris may say the country is turning into scousers, desperate for some bad news to pull the pseudo community together.

Any excuse for a bit of Scouser bashing:icon_roll:015:

Reports from the portugese press say that the dna show that Mr M wasn't her real father......:102:

Leaving kids in a hotel in an unfamiliar place is different to lettng them pay in the back garden by themselves.

Leaving aside the whole safety issue, there are a lot of other things that could have caused problems by leaving here alone.
What if she'd woken up from a nightmare, or she was feeling ill, but found herself in an unfamiliar place with no sign of her parents, and no idea where they were?

What if the Fire Alarm had gone off? Would Madeleine have woken and been able to drag her siblings to the assembley point?

Not really, I've turned the cooker on while holding my baby, I've left my dog alone with one of them while I get up to do something, I've left a knife on the kitchen work surface, I've let them play on their swing unsupervised for a few seconds, I've had to chase on of them as they've opened the kitchen cupboards, I've let go of one of my Daughter's hands while in the City centre.

All of the above situations have ended in disaster for other parents, for me I've always got away with it.

I know for a fact I'm not the only one, I know for a fact every parent does these things. Anybody who says otherwise is a liar or a ****.

I agree with all you say Melton, as a parent we have all done something and realised afterwards things could have gone wrong. But the list you give are genuine mistakes, and I think the word mistake is wrong, things that happen in day to day life. I have made "mistakes" but no way on this earth would I leave them locked up in a hotel room whilst I went off to have dinner. That is not a mistake, thats putting yourself before your children and its wrong. Because they are doctors people seem to think they can do no wrong!!!!!

Full agree with that

But they didn't actually "leave them locked up in a hotel room whilst they went off to have dinner" - they actually left them in an unlocked hotel room, with the balcony doors wide open

so why was a window shutter forced open then, as they claimed right at the begining?

The stories that come out never add up and there is no wonder why everybody is trying to put 2 and 2 together.

No idea - just remember one of the McCanns saying that they left the door open in case of a fire

Which of course mitigates their actions completely......

I would lock the ****ers up for life if that was true, these people are just unbelievable.
In the Evening Standard last night, it says they are looking into ways of using the donated fund to pay their legal costs......

I cant believe the slating I got in the thread I started on this and now suddenly everyone agrees with me, maybe I was just ahead of the time.

I spoke with AZ a few days after and we both agreed right back then that something was wrong and didn't add up.

The girl had only just gone missing and your opening post was about how they 'deserved it'

Yes they were stupid,Yes they shouldn't have left her..totally agree but whether they deserved for her to be taken and killed is a different matter.Of course she might still be alive or they may have been responsible for her death.None of us know and there is very little hard evidence as far as I ca tell.We are only reading quotes from newspapers, media ,relatives etc but very little is actually coming from the Portugese Police. One thing is for sure a little girl is either dead or missing and that IMO is sad very very sad whatever the reasons

This is one of the parts of the story that has been changed. It was initially said that the shutters had been forced but it was later said that the damage to them had been caused earlier.
