That's a really nice message to the fans but if he were to become a top class defender (I think he could) he would be foolish not to move on. Especially if the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal come calling.

I can imagine him at Everton as a replacement for Distin.

It is very difficult for a member of the back four to become a legend - perhaps only Steve Walsh for Leicester. He needs an almost irresponsible bravery and aggression Tony Adams of Arsenal and Stuart Pearce are examples in recent years. Rather earlier there was Tommy Smith of Liverpool. It is of course just possible to become a legend by sheer quality but sorry Liam you are no Bobby Moore.

Number of games is not the criterion. Mark Wallington had over 400 games for Leicester and I do not count him as a legend - most unfairly I always think of him as "not-Shilton". Keith Weller played only half as many games but for many who saw him was the most iconic Leicester player.

Liam would do well to reflect that you do not become a Leicester legend playing well against Millwall or Doncaster; you become a legend playing well against Man U and Arsenal. I hope he achieves it.

I always think of Elliott as a legend too. Some cracking headed goals, and the odd appearance as a striker certainly help.
