Lads your still bandying names around that we haven't got a cat in hell's chance of getting. Can someone throw some good Div 1 players into the mix - Don't shoot me but what say Kris Commons, It's more realistic. Lets look Div 1 not premiership it worked for MON.

But why on earth should the shrubs want to loan him out?

We need loanees coming down from the Prem not side or upstepping.

MM needs to do a sales job on hungry players who want to pay a part in the big future of LCFC, not journeymen who "could do a job"

I genuinely don't think strikers are the problem, between Hume, Fryatt, Hammond and OGrady i think there are plenty of goals. The problem is these lot do not get consistent quality service. Of course they will miss the odd one a game, but the if they are only being given one chance a game then their fighting a losing battle. Lets focus on getting some kind of midfield in place and then i'm sure the Fryatt/Hume partnership will blossom again.

Only Hume is scoring, Fryatt looks like he could not care less, Hammond shows effort but I am afraid thats all he is capable off and COG is crap...... I think we do have a striker problem...

10 Premiership midfielders currently not getting much 1st team football who might be available for loan to get them some match practice.

Peter Whittingham, Aston Villa
Eric Djemba-Djemba, Aston Villa
Sergio Peter, Blackburn
Jerome Thomas, Charlton
Ahmad Elrich, Fulham
Mark Pembridge, Fulham
Stephen Warnock, Liverpool
Stephen Ireland, Man City
David Thompson, Portsmouth
Shaun Newton, West Ham

Any of them could be injured, havn't checked that.

Nothing to improve the side there. :icon_conf :icon_conf

stephen warnock is better than our entire midfield put together

Very few class players go on loan to a lower league, only old has beens or very up and coming youngsters. Think Duncan Ferguson for the former or Ryan Smith for the latter. Neither of which would (or did) offer much to the foxes team. I suppose i'm thinking more about genuine transfers rather than loans. When i mentioned Common's i was meaning looking at Buys (not loans) from the lower leagues.

Sadly i think we made a big mistake in letting Joey G go. He added bite, energy and a bit of skill to our midfield and this is sorely missed. Think the only real quality midfield loan in the Championship right now is Lee Hendrie. How the hell did the crap Potters manage to swing that one? Bet he'll be straight back to Villa in Jan though.

...Sadly i think we made a big mistake in letting Joey G go...

When he signed the precontract with AZ we were playing crap and looking good bets to get relegated.

It wasn't our choice to 'let him go' - when we recovered he looked to see if he could get out of the precontract he'd signed previously, but obviously it was legally binding.

There was no mistake in 'letting Joey G go' opther than being so crap in the first half of the season under Levein that it caused him to look elsewhere. Where would you rather play given the chance of European football or League 1?

Those 2 have been all season

Message to Marshall Cockney Fox, my 3 suggestions were all players to sign on loan, a clue in the thread title !!!!

Also I did add the point that these players would only be possibles if additional investment was secured.

In one of the sunday papers it was being reported that David Thompson was to be allowed to leave Pompey after only four months, I believe we were linked with him in the summer, could be a potential loan signing.

Thompson would be an excellent signing, he is far too good for this league IMO.

Hartley from Hearts, apparently he doesn't want to play for them anymore.I know he's SPL but I think he'd be good for us
