I'm not so sure. There was many a time when Alan Marbury had the ball at his feet and the crowd would shout 'Jesus Christ!' or 'For God's sake'. I assume this was because he was a deity of some kind but it didn't seem to work for us.

So, just to catch up - We've had a £15m bid for Musa rejected and the player wants to come to us so we are likely to up the bid.

We had a £10m bid accepted for Eder and are talking to his agent despite the player wating to stay in Italy and Inter saying they will match any bid we make.

We've put in a £7.6m bid to by Loic Remy from Chelsea despite not being interested in him.

We've also entered the race for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata as well apparently.

Not bad considering we're not going to be doing any more business.

Don't you just love the transfer window.
