Sounds like a potentially good signing that and not too much of an asking price? So is Mendy a player in the Kante mould?

Should the 22-year-old sign for Leicester they could pull the plug on their interest in Caen star N'Golo Kante, who does a similar job.

The Foxes had offered £6million for tough-tackling midfielder Kante and were competing for his signature with Marseille - despite the departure of manager Nigel Pearson.

But while Ranieri is a fan of the player, Mendy is understood to be seen as a better option by the new gaffer.

Tbh I'd quite like him but not for more than £15m.

Deeney's power & strength combined with Vardy's raw pace would be a frightening combo imo as they both know where the back of the net is too.
