Speculation Motown's hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded Summer 2016 rumours thread

I believe he'll go. We know it, he knows it and the turks know it.

Inler wants to go to Besiktas and not Lyon. Lyon are offering a decent price, Besiktas are offering a ridiculously low price. We're calling Besiktas and Inler's bluff.

Does he want to play u23 matches all year at his age? So if Besiktas doesn't come up with the money he'll probably accept to go to Lyon. Besiktas are simply being Turkish, it'll be a little improved offer and then just before the deadline they'll go as high as they can - doubt it's as much as Lyon though.

I think Slimani would be a good signing but £34m? Us English clubs really do get held to ransom. By all accounts he works hard, is quick, powerful and strong in the air and has the goalscoring record to prove it.

We have the money to buy both and I think we need the depth. Still very worried about RB. Mendy is supposed to be okay for our next game against Liverpool but I reckon Amartey holds his place after that performance. Swansea weren't good but we didn't give them a chance to be good thanks to Drinky and Amartey, having said that we lost to Hull who are a poor side and will probably be relegated.

Quite agree that I think we could do with both but CM is more of a priority than Striker for me. I haven't questioned that we could get them both, more simply that I don't think we will. I hope to be proved wrong.

Scores the equaliser!

Watching this game is also useful to see how decent a side Porto are.

So far, going forward they look a bit tasty but they can't defend for shite. Casillas is a shadow of his former self - Schwarzer-esque.

Slimani appears to be a nutter. He'll fit right in.

I agree with that. It's made quite interesting viewing. Slimani has also been working pretty hard closing players down, which is something I didn't necessarily expect him to do, but good when you think about how he may fit into our way of doing things.

Main thing of note from this game is how good the close ball control is from the majority of players. The standard of individual ball retention is very good. Also Porto as a collective, are a bunch of swan-diving ****s...

Well, I've seen enough.

Just like Ulloa was a major step up from Chris Wood (and I remember people bemoaning that switch!), Slimani is a different class entirely to Ulloa.

Thanks very much for your outstanding efforts over the last couple of years Leo, but we're about to do a serious upgrade and you're going to be surplus to requirements.

Well watching that match hasn't really given us a lot to go on. Personally I don't see what the fuss was about. Slimani was practically non-existant in the second half but could argue wasn't really getting the service. Bit of a shit game all in all.

Waves goodbye to fans and leaves pitch in tears. That would be a bit odd if he's not leaving.

I hope this will get Mahrez going too. I have no idea what kind of rapport they have had in the national team but in theory it could be a fantastic partnership
