Speculation Motown's hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded Summer 2017 rumours thread

We need a creative midfielder, and fast. **** knows who. I'll leave that up to... oh no wait, he's left now. Well, Andy King it is then!

I've only been saying it for a ****ing year.

Club doesn't agree

I'd forgotten we had spunked a whopping £13m on Mendy before reading that article.

We really did horrendously **** up last summer didn't we?
Oh yes. Beyond the imagination scale of shitfest.

The single biggest chance this club will ever have to kick on and build something massive and we totally ****ed it.

In fact we have installed someone now who (in my opinion at least) is only going to take us back to where we came from.

But but but Nigel ever played with a traditional number 10! How is he supposed to cover a full back playing all the way up there?!

Sunday papers suggesting Vardy to Everton, as predicted by BN.
£40m for a 30 year old would be hard to turn down for the club. And probably quite an attractive move for him too.

Shame it would leave us completely screwed, at the mercy of Iheanacho and/or Slimani scraping together 15+ goals...

Not fussed at Mahrez going, but if Shakey sees Townsend as a replacement then we may as well just sack him now. Pointless waiting 10 games in, get it done before the damage is done.

Who would you prefer to bring in as a replacement?

Unfortunately we're not going to be able to get in anyone who can properly replace him.

Anyone, Townsend is a poor mans Jeff Schlupp. He's absolute shite.

I think people need to realise the level we are now at.

We've well and truly ****ed up any possibility of being seen as an attractive, ambitious club and we are now back on a par with plodders like Stoke.

What a tragic waste of an opportunity

I haven't seen this guy Anyone play before, is he any good?

I'm not debating that Townsend would be a poor replacement for Mahrez. But I just think that's our level. There's no way anyone as good as Mahrez would want to come to us.

There isn't a need to replace Mahrez with someone as good. It would be nice to set our sights higher than Townsend though which really isn't difficult.

I agree he does seem to fit our level of ambition too. Perhaps we should save £27m to spend next summer when we know if the gamble has paid off.

£40m for a 30 year old but one who is worth significantly more than that to us and the way we play.

I'm hoping that I'm not proved wrong but the Everton rumour seems to be no more than the daily transfer rumour generator. Even Skybet hasn't budged.

The opportunity was wasted when the players took control and got Ranieri sacked.
