We could still go down, quite easily, and you feckers are still wittering on about giving him time. It's unbelievable

If we escape it's more by luck than judgement. He's out of his depth by a feckin' country mile.

If he stays we'll be right back in this shit in twelve months time

:023: Nothing to add.

Interested to hear who you would replace him with?

I would actually go for Billy Davies - he took both Preston and Derby to the play-offs with arguably a poorer set of players than we have now.

From day one I've maintained that Holloway has no history of success at the level we aspire to - there's a guy who does...

Agreed.

As I've said, if we escape and Mandaric still has any bottle left whatsoever. he should warmly shake 'Ollie's' hand (and for the benefit of any perverted potential editors I meant hand ); thank him for saving us from relegation.....recover 'Ollie's' car keys and phone for a taxi.

Last I checked, we aspired to success in the Premiership, remind me what success Billy Davies enjoyed there?

jb5000, the other Fox in Hudd

But we are a country mile away from getting a successful Premiership manager aren't we?

The comment was about getting someone better than Holloway and to that end Davies is a better option every way for me

I'm sorry but there's only one reason for keeping Holloway - the stability one - and that is a massive gamble.

He has never done anything close in his career to what we want for Leicester so what makes us thing he ever will?

There is more than 1 reason for sticking with IH, the major one being money, if we sack IH and his staff we'll be paying out their contracts which leaves much less money to invest (unless we all want to pay more to go to the walkers).

I don't rate IH but with the cash flow seriously on the negative side he maybe the only options we have.

Anyone who subscribes or has the latest Fox magazine read the editorial, which for me is spot on.

Want to give us an idea of what is said?

Stability at what cost!

Just as the table don't lie, nor do Ollies stats either. He bought his players in, mostly not played them, kept changing both the team and tactices every week, played the players out of position, need I go on. I know this isn't going to be popular with some but it's only my opinion. I think Ollie's completely out of his depth. He in fainess appeared to be doing well at Plymouth but arguably had to stick with 4-4-2 and had little room for manouverability with players due to the lack of numbers to choose from .i.e. the team basically chose itself. We clearly have some decent players but some of his usage of them has been bizarre to say the least.

Yes, I do agree, we badly need stability, BUT not with this clown!

I was going to post something similar but you saved me the effort. :038: :038: :038: I am all for stability, the non-revolving managerial door if you will but not with a manager who is not competent enough to deserve that support in the first place.

This is my major logic disconnect with all the pro-IH posters on the forum. Their argument seems to revolve around having stability and continuity as a reason for retaining IH. I would like them to use his record here at City as the justification for retaining IH.

I fully support you, homer and others as we look at the job IH is doing and not use the sacking of one manager and the departure of another to justify IH remaining as City manager. :icon_wink

A good few performances this season, a better brand of football then we are previously used to, a manager with the ability to attract a player regardless of media-seeking faults and also if you employ a manager whose not the finished article, don't expect some kind of miracle.

It harks back to days when Ranieri and Red Rom first met at Chelsea and everyone said the players would take time to gel.......

I'd like to hear this argument.

I have said this from day one and i still say it. Ollie is the best gaffer we have had in a long time......give him time and he will take us to where we want to be. Don't expect miracles in short spaces of time and we will show steady progress. IMO the team we have now is a step above the teams of recent seasons and with time they will gel and play as a team. We also need a bit of consistancy so we can have some leicester legends again.....we havent got any players who have been at LCFC for long enough...we need a strong base to be built over the next 24 months.

well thats my side of things.

Stick with Ollie and the glory days will be upon us.
