...a long list of potential managers that we can then go on arguing about the merits of ad infinitum ? We could also add pointless comments about 'he would never come here etc. etc.'

When you have wittered on endlessly about how good/bad he is compared to Holloway, we can then move on to the next one :icon_roll

And so he spake, and thus it came to pass.....

The only other person ?

The only one in the whole world of football and beyond ?

Wow

Come on Homey, don't be a numb-nuts.

Read the post in full. Of the ones we know of I believe, if IH was to be replaced, BD is the answer. However, we didn't know of Craig Levein until he arrived, and I'm sure there are many more outhere. (Hopefuly with better results!!):icon_roll

That 'several hundred thousand pounds' would be a drop in the ocean, should this muppet take us down, be it this saeson or next.

Also, didnt we make 'several hundred thousand pounds' on our last manager :102: (GM).

I believe we spent that on the compensation for IH and paying off a few of the cr@p players, the clubs finances are in a mess as I stated earlier and it's highly unlikely Mr. Mandaric wants to give a nice chunk of cash away to IH.

Whatever anyone says, Dowie is not the answer.
Nonsense. Here's a question for you;

According to Wikipedia, which Iain (born January 9, 1965 in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England) is a football manager and coach, and former professional football player and Northern Ireland international?

I can't see past Saturday at the moment. If we win and look safe, I'll have a think about next season. If we are not safe I'll consult the great oracle at the bottom of the glass. Besides, I don't know what we need anymore. We have made such a mess of everything for the past few seasons that I struggle to offer a proposal that would improve things to the level MM envisaged when he took over.

All I do know is that something rather fundamental must change because there seems little backbone in the club at the moment.:icon_cry:

Don't you know that we're going to win 3-0 on Saturday, I can't believe the lack of crystal balls and seers on this forum.

Huh? :102:

So...you'll only debate with people that can see into the future?

:icon_lol::icon_lol:

Thats how I read it but didnt want to say something in case i had got it wrong. :icon_bigg

This whole debate is ifs and buts, I'm with Chuck, the problems we have are deeper than just the manager and have been around for a lot longer than MM has been at the club too.

IH is/may not be the answer to what we need regarding getting promotion or pushing for the play offs and I am sure if we did we would be ****ed regardless of who was in charge.

Probably the best thing that could happen is a season of stability, take stock and build some foundations to make a push of it the following season (if we stay up of course). I am not saying keep IH or get rid, just whoever is in charge next season must be allowed the time to get this bunch playing as a team and not have the instant demand of getting promotion, if we are good enough it will happen.

The best thing MM did was to say he had a three year plan, the worst thing was to then in the next breath say that he expected us to be pushing for it this season after the torrid 3 years that proceeded it.
