Having read about the incidents between Ulrika and Stan I believe that both were involved in unacceptable behaviour toward each other but only one was diagnosed with a mental disorder that partially explains (not making acceptable) their behaviour.

Being diagnosed as mentally ill is a defence in criminal proceedings, I don't see any reason why it isn't here or maybe legal process globally is ridiculous for accepting this.
