Actually being at Bramall Lane the other night reminded me of my previous trip there when Weale probably played his best game in a City shirt. We won 1-0 with probably our only shot on target and Sheffield United battered us but Chris and the defence kept them out

I remember a game away at Reading - I think it was on Sky - where again we won 1-0 and Weale played a blinder. I genuinely didn't think he was that bad for us.

That mistake against the Sheep led to a King OG, if I remember correctly.

Challenge tv channel are showing a rerun of Blankety Blank with Tobbie Savage as one of the panellists. What's more disturbing is presenter Lily Savage in a City shirt.

Ricky Sbragia has resigned as coach of the Scotland Under-21s and will be replaced by Scot Gemmill.

Kramaric with 3 assists as Hoffenheim come back from 1-4 to 4-4 against Mainz. He was also involved in the situation that got a Mainz player sent off with the scores at 1-4.

Esteban Cambiasso (remember him?) scored the only goal of the game as Olympiakos win 1-0 away against Young Boys in the EL.

Is he still able to play as well as he did for us?

Obviously he never had the 'engine' of Kante, but his vision, reading of the game and passing was out of this world.

Boss Roberto Di Matteo confirmed the 27-year-old is likely to require surgery on the injury he suffered during Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with Brentford.

It was just De Laet’s third appearance for Villa since his £2.5million move from Leicester City last month.

Di Matteo said: “Unfortunately Ritchie’s is a serious injury. He will have more assessments today but it looks right now like he will need surgery. He will be out for a while.”
