“There was resentment” - Claude Puel quizzed on player power at Leicester City - Sport Witness
Claude Puel left Leicester City in February after a bad defeat to Crystal Palace. He’s since been replaced by Brendan Rodgers and there’s now more optimism around the Foxes. Just like at Southampton, the manager didn’t do a terrible job as far as results are concerned, but, also just like at...sportwitness.co.uk
Puel on player power rumours
no theo owners decided that, they wanted to go younger with a more attractive style, that's why he was hired and and a manager with a similar tactical style replaced him.Puel has made the same mistakes at successive clubs and yet portrays himself as a great manager and the clubs and players and fans as incapable of appreciating his genius.
"The concept of construction does not exist there" he says. What absolute bollocks. We've been constructing a club for years. You were the one that decided that many of the component parts were not fit for purpose despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
Are you Puel?no theo owners decided that, they wanted to go younger with a more attractive style, that's why he was hired and and a manager with a similar tactical style replaced him.
Oh and yes there was a rebuild to be done, the moment Kante signed for Chelsea that team and style was done

I was at that game. Their fans were singing “Martin’s coming home” and we were responding with “Martin thinks you’re shit” etc etc. Maybe we were both right.16th May will be the 20th anniversary of the last Florist Premier League match. Against us as it happens.
Unless we draw them in the League Cup next season, we'll also hit the longest period between City / Florist matches since the 1930s. They're becoming a club like Preston that were good in a former era.
I mentioned earlier in the season that we've now played more Premier League games than Florist and Derby combined. Doesn't look like either of them will be challenging us any time soon either.
MON is sadly a shadow of his former self. The quality and the passion isn't there any more. I think he suits the club he manages perfectly.
